that follows for orange chicken is in the middle of the two. It's not nearly as
sweet as classic orange chicken, but it's also not as hot and sour as tangerine
chicken. I lightly cover bite-sized chunks of boneless, skinless chicken in
cornstarch and pan-fry them in oil instead of battering and deep-frying them.
There isn't much crunchiness—just a tiny bit.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Get the sauce ready:<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 107%;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 107%;">In a dish, combine all the sauce ingredients and
whisk until the cornstarch is well mixed into the liquid and no lumps are
visible. Put aside.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Set a skillet over medium heat on the stovetop.
While you're preparing the chicken, add the neutral oil and let it get heated.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Place the chopped chicken in a bowl and add white
pepper and salt to taste. Using a wooden spoon or rubber spatula, evenly
distribute the cornstarch over the chicken and toss to cover it thoroughly. Set
the skillet's heat to medium-high. Make sure the chicken isn't packed when you
place a batch of it in an even layer on the skillet once the oil is heated and
shimmering. Cook for 4-6 minutes on each side, or until thoroughly cooked and
golden brown. After transferring to a bowl, fry the chicken in batches until it
is completely fried. To cook the mushrooms, add 1 teaspoon of neutral oil to
the pot if it's dry. Add the mushrooms and sprinkle salt all over. Cook for 4
to 5 minutes, or until all over is light golden brown. Don't overcook the
shiitakes because they dry out easily! Add them to the bowl containing the
cooked chicken.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Heat the skillet's remaining teaspoon of oil
before sautéing the aromatics. Add the minced scallions, ginger, garlic, and
chili peppers. Simmer for one minute, or until aromatic. Prepare the sauce by
adding it and heating it to a boil. Lower the heat to medium-low and stir often
for 3-5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens significantly. Switch to low heat
if it starts to stick.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Coat the chicken: Add the sauce to the cooked
chicken and mushrooms, tossing to coat. After the chicken is thoroughly coated
and the sauce has somewhat thickened, toss it for a further two to three
minutes over low heat. If necessary, taste the sauce and adjust the seasonings.
Switch off the heating source. Serve the prepared white rice with the chicken.
Add sesame seeds, crispy shallots, or sliced scallions as garnish. <o:p></o:p></span></p>Momzdailyscoopshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01791130414751404026noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1687327840822403565.post-67843526165191749852024-03-26T09:28:00.001-04:002024-03-26T09:28:00.131-04:00tuna mornay<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDqtlcXz_0tgOGXzCj2My_LsWguyE8Vkw4L5pwUEzeAj6C6CuWeu5lK01Vhz3f0qnL5IsX849Ctkms-jxhvpnxSd4KOiuMlnpIwtAB5BCHebIF32FSBr98hkOx8dyBam6gLocNU8qcjrAU42FR7G87zAfgxT-nSGtL1BGfcYhN5CEz-CAmXTts15jXAFLC/s528/Screenshot%202024-03-24%20090640.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="528" data-original-width="499" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDqtlcXz_0tgOGXzCj2My_LsWguyE8Vkw4L5pwUEzeAj6C6CuWeu5lK01Vhz3f0qnL5IsX849Ctkms-jxhvpnxSd4KOiuMlnpIwtAB5BCHebIF32FSBr98hkOx8dyBam6gLocNU8qcjrAU42FR7G87zAfgxT-nSGtL1BGfcYhN5CEz-CAmXTts15jXAFLC/w378-h400/Screenshot%202024-03-24%20090640.jpg" width="378" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span face=""Aptos SemiBold", sans-serif" style="font-size: 14pt; text-align: left;"> </span><span face=""Aptos SemiBold", sans-serif" style="font-size: 14pt; text-align: left;">If you love

turning often and scraping down the skillet, for approximately 12 minutes, or
until the liquid has evaporated and the veggies begin to caramelize. Stir to
remove the browned pieces from the pan and add the wine and thyme sprigs. Cooking,
uncovered, for about two minutes, or until the wine has evaporated entirely.
Leaving any sediment in the basin, carefully transfer the saved mushroom-soaking
liquid into the skillet. Pour broth into pan; over medium heat, come to a
vigorous simmer. Lower the temperature and let the mixture simmer for 40 to 45
minutes, stirring now and again until it thickens and reduces to around 3 cups.
Throw away thyme sprigs. When ready to use, cover and preheat on low.<o:p></o:p></span></p>Momzdailyscoopshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01791130414751404026noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1687327840822403565.post-50100855311728023282024-03-22T18:43:00.000-04:002024-03-22T18:43:00.290-04:00Italian Stuffed Artichokes<p> <span style="font-family: Daytona, sans-serif; font-size: 16pt;"> </span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8mMW2bNRkbzOHSVIO2ULfMumtYqPN-t0MsNBtmiqDXKMCc2ebLD0OPD1iwPhVepXo8gxNOZUwfGi0-f1rjhVxK1HtNmfXMWFpdvYElTpDPJyCmpEbsI7S3TeDjWqRAYxxU4JboiW3U8lKNfEhvAD7t-iFojvdyZKQEoWNNubn5xrXDJpAdhI9GhLzjd85/s528/Screenshot%202024-03-20%20184102.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="528" data-original-width="499" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8mMW2bNRkbzOHSVIO2ULfMumtYqPN-t0MsNBtmiqDXKMCc2ebLD0OPD1iwPhVepXo8gxNOZUwfGi0-f1rjhVxK1HtNmfXMWFpdvYElTpDPJyCmpEbsI7S3TeDjWqRAYxxU4JboiW3U8lKNfEhvAD7t-iFojvdyZKQEoWNNubn5xrXDJpAdhI9GhLzjd85/w378-h400/Screenshot%202024-03-20%20184102.jpg" width="378" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: Daytona, sans-serif; font-size: 16pt;"><br /></span><p></p><p><span style="font-family: Daytona, sans-serif; font-size: 16pt;">Stuffed artichokes

paper, generously brush both sides with the paprika. Next, give them a dash of
ground black pepper and kosher salt. <br />
<br />
Set the oven's temperature to 350°F. Heating a skillet that is ovenproof with
two teaspoons of olive oil on medium heat. Add the fish to the pan as soon as
it begins to softly smoke. After two minutes of searing, carefully flip. After
two more minutes of searing, remove and place aside. To deglaze the pan, add
one cup of dry white wine. Scrape off any food residue from the pan's bottom.
Simmer for 3–4 minutes to eliminate the alcohol.<br />
Add the olives after that. Give them a couple of minutes to fry. Stir in the
cayenne, smoked paprika, salsa, and sofrito. Stir to combine all of the
ingredients. To enable the flavors to mingle, bring this to a moderate simmer
and cook for five to six minutes.<br />
After tucking the fish into the sauce, bake it. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes, or
until the thickest portion of the fish pierces easily with a knife. Take out of
the oven and top with finely chopped fresh parsley. Provide with crusty bread
on a platter or over a bed of white rice.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

about their delicious cashew caramel corn. It has popcorn coated in <a href="https://www.mackinacfudgeco.com/product/cashew-caramel-corn/">caramel and cashews</a> that are plentiful. The popcorn is a gluten-free product that has a
very unique gourmet taste. Handcrafted in copper kettles, each tiny batch of
caramel corn is given the meticulous attention and care that fine confections
require. The sophistication of cashews combined with an already rich product is
what distinguishes this gourmet caramel corn flavor. It’s very enjoyable, and can
also be given as a gift. That’s if you can part with it. The flavor is over the top with a great crunch.</span></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><b style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: 18pt; line-height: 115%; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri;"><br /></span></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><b style="text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDPfJUjoPKVtDT3Pneqgq391Lcx3aCbQlKsQq7yq5_Ofrw8ChrxO4GNXwKckQxd9K-OJ2qNRrdXTaX776dQbTSuxhB8iRd46FqQq8xwyn8C2Vms_L5rwFRt22GwaoPnZriJDJs7OqcweL36DYvYk8AU6OeEPfsW0Y6TIQpoC3H75cT91gUib5DzvXD0LY6/s528/IMG_3097.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="528" data-original-width="499" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDPfJUjoPKVtDT3Pneqgq391Lcx3aCbQlKsQq7yq5_Ofrw8ChrxO4GNXwKckQxd9K-OJ2qNRrdXTaX776dQbTSuxhB8iRd46FqQq8xwyn8C2Vms_L5rwFRt22GwaoPnZriJDJs7OqcweL36DYvYk8AU6OeEPfsW0Y6TIQpoC3H75cT91gUib5DzvXD0LY6/s320/IMG_3097.jpg" width="302" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3eiaUnKu88cLaNp6qf9-401x3Wq8eXQRUBs-MRmgdAHSbrbbAXe766OBKrqY2cF0awsEsRlY6AXYbtl2anKP98m_AKDp1RZl86b9-AYVwc1OXDOIUjqgNH2kJUSC1oPHW3GYsH6z_CKaRqHzCixfp8CheWrhkx6zogI95ZxXGJdA-X3L412qyriDysyzB/s263/Screenshot%202024-03-14%20152402.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="217" data-original-width="263" height="217" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3eiaUnKu88cLaNp6qf9-401x3Wq8eXQRUBs-MRmgdAHSbrbbAXe766OBKrqY2cF0awsEsRlY6AXYbtl2anKP98m_AKDp1RZl86b9-AYVwc1OXDOIUjqgNH2kJUSC1oPHW3GYsH6z_CKaRqHzCixfp8CheWrhkx6zogI95ZxXGJdA-X3L412qyriDysyzB/s1600/Screenshot%202024-03-14%20152402.png" width="263" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><b style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: 18pt; line-height: 115%; mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri;">The next bag was called <a href="https://www.mackinacfudgeco.com/product/fruit-salad-popcorn/">fruit salad</a>. screw on the lids. A big stockpot should have a rack in the bottom and be
halfway filled with water. Using a holder, carefully lower the jars into the
saucepan after bringing it to a boil over high heat. Space the jars apart by
two inches. If additional boiling water is required, add it until the water

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Bierstadt",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; mso-bidi-font-family: Cavolini;">Mix the yeast, warm not
hot milk, butter, eggs, and sugar in a large mixing dish. Using the dough hook,
add roughly half of the flour and beat until smooth. Add the remaining flour gradually to make a
firm dough. Countless amounts of flour will work; simply add more till the
dough loses its stickiness. Using a
dough hook attachment or by turning out onto a floured surface, knead until
smooth. Transfer to a bowl that has been oiled, cover, and let rise in a warm
location until doubled approximately one hour. The dough is pounded down and
divided into 12 halves. Roll each piece into an approximately 14-inch-long rope
that is 1 inch thick. Then, using two pieces, twist the rope to create a
"braid" by pinching the ends together and looping it into a circle.
Transfer to a baking sheet that has been oiled or covered with parchment paper
or a Silpat. Once more, give it an hour or so to allow it to rise to double.
Apply beaten egg wash to each piece of bread. Turn on the sprinklers. Place an
Easter egg carefully, creating an indentation with the egg, in the center of
each bread ring. For about twenty to twenty-five minutes, or until brown, bake
at 350 degrees. Chill on the rack.<o:p></o:p></span></p>Momzdailyscoopshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01791130414751404026noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1687327840822403565.post-42333297055239525562024-03-12T08:30:00.001-04:002024-03-12T08:30:00.136-04:00Traditional Italian Easter Pie<p> <span style="font-family: Cavolini; font-size: 14pt;"> </span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3IwJ4O5a36gyjoSOAbBNa1azMR0Q7xt-KlaQK_CbbwqJKADBYpUXz-UsHUe0yhIZP3UZXf2dOahtDxn80AP2i9hVQSOjZotoPr-omxkoxgP53U11kfTUfos3P1zebahQS6Bmcrh3R7zEmetfKI5Ou96OikxvluNgKYdr4wxWOsUSAkJ5Es4cKJrCoVmCQ/s528/Screenshot%202024-03-06%20081922.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="528" data-original-width="499" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3IwJ4O5a36gyjoSOAbBNa1azMR0Q7xt-KlaQK_CbbwqJKADBYpUXz-UsHUe0yhIZP3UZXf2dOahtDxn80AP2i9hVQSOjZotoPr-omxkoxgP53U11kfTUfos3P1zebahQS6Bmcrh3R7zEmetfKI5Ou96OikxvluNgKYdr4wxWOsUSAkJ5Es4cKJrCoVmCQ/w378-h400/Screenshot%202024-03-06%20081922.jpg" width="378" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: Cavolini; font-size: 14pt;"><br /></span><p></p><p><span style="font-family: Cavolini; font-size: 14pt;">Easter Pie is an Italian
delicacy that consists of combining boiled rice, eggs, sugar, toasted pine
nuts, plus fresh ricotta. The combination is then wrapped in layers of buttery,

incorporated. The top and edges of the pie turn a gorgeous golden brown as it

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">2 cups grated cheddar cheese<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Set the oven to 400°F.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">For this dish, frozen potato hash browns are
typically used. With store-bought hash browns, everything comes together
quickly and effortlessly. Use fresh potatoes instead of frozen hash browns if
available. It also functions.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">After scrubbing, thoroughly rinse potatoes. Using
a kitchen towel, pat dry. Chop into tiny cubes. Peeling the skin off or leaving
it as is is up to you. It's better with the skin on it. Red potatoes can also
be used; russet potatoes are the finest.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Chop bacon into tiny bits and fry in a skillet
until golden brown. To give potatoes more flavor and richness, save the bacon
grease and boil them in it rather than using butter. Use butter instead of
bacon grease if you'd like.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Place the chopped potatoes in a large bowl. Season
with salt and pepper and add the bacon grease. Toss evenly to coat.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Move to a casserole dish that is 8 by 8. Wrap with
aluminum foil. Bake potatoes for forty to fifty minutes, till they are cooked
through, at 400°F in a preheated oven. In the meantime, combine half the amount
of bacon, ranch dressing, sour cream, a little amount of salt and pepper, and
one cup of shredded cheddar cheese in another bowl. Blend well.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;"> You may use the dry mix of ranch seasoning
straight; there's no need to combine it with buttermilk.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">From the oven, remove the casserole dish. Cover
potatoes with cheese mixture. Toss the potatoes gently to coat them with a
silicon or wooden spatula.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Top with the leftover bacon and the remaining cup
of cheddar cheese. Bake for five to seven minutes, or until the cheese is
bubbling and melted.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Take it out of the oven. Add some fresh green
onions as a garnish, then serve right away.<o:p></o:p></span></p>Momzdailyscoopshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01791130414751404026noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1687327840822403565.post-33427015765810124782024-03-03T18:45:00.001-05:002024-03-03T18:45:00.129-05:00Homemade pickled beets<p> </p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD8Mvnb4pkKZJb3fSYX26K0baZLx4isJYRfHakpUMiX03h2KhqTh-ITj8cdZ4ttZBwYqD1RhviQYYmVDmmNu_bfmgUNOkg9GjHHf-nE090BsCJhLteuNfMqiUkJaEGVvO3QN03aWGL8neGnQEfMdkqPmbMYLnMR5hg2DeS20medzSoJebWkI1DnocNi9qa/s528/Screenshot%202024-02-28%20184153.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="528" data-original-width="499" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD8Mvnb4pkKZJb3fSYX26K0baZLx4isJYRfHakpUMiX03h2KhqTh-ITj8cdZ4ttZBwYqD1RhviQYYmVDmmNu_bfmgUNOkg9GjHHf-nE090BsCJhLteuNfMqiUkJaEGVvO3QN03aWGL8neGnQEfMdkqPmbMYLnMR5hg2DeS20medzSoJebWkI1DnocNi9qa/w378-h400/Screenshot%202024-02-28%20184153.jpg" width="378" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold", sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;"><br /></span><p></p><p><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold", sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;">While most canning recipes yield large quantities,
this one is designed to assist you in processing a smaller quantity in the
unlikely event that you aren't feeding an army. Beets' sweetness makes for a
delicious pickle. After your beets are done, consider incorporating the
remaining brine into a vinaigrette or potato salad for a beautiful pop of color.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;"> </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">1 pound beets sliced<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">1 small white onion sliced<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">1/2 cup white wine vinegar<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">1 teaspoon salt<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">1/4 cup sugar<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">1/2 cup water<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">2 1-quart canning jars with lids<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">1 teaspoon each of whole cloves, whole allspice, and
a couple of bay leaves<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">After giving the beets a good scrub, put them in a
big saucepan, add water, and boil. For about twenty-five minutes, or until a
paring knife pierces the beets, boil them. After draining, rinse each beet
under cold water, removing the skins and trimming off the tops and tips of the
roots. When the beets are cool enough to slice, let them stand. Slice the beets
thinly and place them, in turn, alongside the onions, in each of the two 1-one
quart canning jars.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Aptos SemiBold",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Measure out one quart of non-reactive pot and add
the vinegar, sugar, salt, and water. If you would like, add extra spices. Pour
the liquid over the beets in the jars after bringing it to a boil over high
heat. Before serving, place the jar lids on firmly and refrigerate for between
four and seven days.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
