Carrots and Dogs

Fresh and cooked carrots are good options for dogs and are a safe meal add-on. Although carrots are generally safe, it is important to cut entire carrots and even carrot sticks into bite-sized bits before feeding them to your dog. As a consequence, you can avoid choking, particularly in small dogs.

As almost many fruits and vegetables, dogs can have carrots. In reality, any aspect of this crop, from the carrot itself to the leafy green tops, is healthy for dogs to consume. They're a healthy, natural treat, and most dogs enjoy the flavor, too.

Carrots contain important vitamins and minerals such as beta carotene (which the body transforms to vitamin A), vitamin K, potassium and more. Although these foods are perfect for people, will dogs enjoy the same benefits?

Since you're not dependent on carrots alone to give your dog the nutrition it requires, it's impossible to get any significant gain from limited quantities of this food. Okay, being said, it's always a Good and delicious food for your doggie.

Once you feed your dog a new diet, consult with your vet to get the perfect serving amount. You may break them into circles or split them into sticks or smaller or bigger pieces, based on the size of the dog.

Your dog can appreciate the snap and taste of raw carrots, but if not, consider feeding them cooked carrots. If you're concerned about reducing the nutritional value of carrots by cooking them, don't.

"Steaming or cooking at minimum in the microwave does not induce a big difference of vitamins and minerals of carrots,".  "Really don't boil the food, since boiling helps to take out the nutrients. Only know how you fix them, carrots are not harmful for dogs.
