This Instant Pot Sausage Gravy delivers all the home-made "stick-to-your-ribs" goodness of the finest white gravy, with limited time and energy.

To make this Biscuits and Gravy recipe as simple as possible, I used a can of ready-to-cook biscuits. This way, you will spend all your attention on creating Sausage Gravy from scratch!

If you've never made your own gravy before, you're in for a treat. It's so much better than anything you can buy at the supermarket, and it's shockingly simple, particularly to use the instant pot.

If your stove top is out of service, you're in a panic, or just sick of your regular weeknight meals, this Quick Pot Sausage Gravy and a can of refrigerator biscuits are ready to save the day.

Should I note that Biscuits and Gravy are receiving two thumbs up from every kid Or grown-up I've ever served to? You just can't go wrong with Sausage Gravy on the table for dinner.

All of this sausage gravy mixture fits together in your pressure cooker. The only other thing you'll like is a cup of milk and rice.

I'm a huge fan of recipes that don't need a lengthy list of ingredients, so this is one that I'm almost always happy to prepare, even though I don't have time to go to the supermarket.

Here’s what you need to make Instant Pot Sausage Gravy:

Ground pork sausage
Butter
Chicken broth
Flour
Milk
Salt and Pepper
Bake the biscuits in the oven according to box instructions before adding the gravy. (Or, if you want, bake homemade biscuits!)

STEP 1. Turn the Instant Pot on "Sauté" and add the sausage when it's hot. Cook until browned, extract with a wooden spoon. Don't waste the fat. Add the butter and the chicken stock.

STEP 2. Lock the cover and switch the pressure relief valve to "SEALING." Pick "HIGH PRESSURE" with a cooking period of 4 minutes.

STEP 3.  In a cup, mix milk and flour, whisking until smooth. When the sausage is finished cooking, switch the valve setting to "Venting" to allow the pressure to escape (quick release) and open the seal.
STEP 4. Adjust the setting of the cooker to "Sauté" and apply the mixture of milk and flour together with salt and pepper. Continue mixing until the gravy is thick and bubbly.

Serve directly over the freshly made biscuits!
