Nine Flags Coffee Roasters Review

It's Easter Sunday 2020, and time to make a big breakfast and a pot of coffee. And the coffee I will be making is a product from Nine Flags Coffee Roasters.

This is a company out of  Nacogdoches Texas, that roaster their coffee by hand and in a wood fired oven. It's a old fashion way, but a way that makes great tasting coffee. The company features nine different coffees, that are imported directly from small batch farmers. Their beans come from Kenya to Costa Rica.

Not only does the company sell their coffee beans, but they have a café, where you can have great coffee, with your friends. It's a place that if your in their town, is worth a road trip to visit. They have great assortments of coffee's and great service that knows their stuff.

Not only is Nine Flags coffee proud of their products they are proud of their town and the history of it.

With that being said it was time to make a pot of the Nine Flag coffee, which is the 12oz bean from Costa Rica. You can get this in ground as well, and comes in a cute burlap bag. The dripping of the coffee sent a aroma not just through out the kitchen, but the entire house. It had the taste and aroma of citrus and other tropical fruit. When tasting there was a slight taste of brown sugar. It was a smooth sweet tasting coffee, that went very well with breakfast. The taste was also very clean, with a very mild acidity. Brewing through a paper filter gave the coffee a bright flavor, and a medium roast with a full body. Costa Rican coffee is known for some of the best coffee profiles in South and Central America. This is due to the fact on the altitude it is grown, which gives it is defining taste.

Now, I wanted to taste the other coffee from Nine Flags Roasters, which was whole bean Mexico. Nine Flags Roasters, pay very close attention when they purchase their beans from Mexico. This assures them exactly where those beans will come from. Usually they get them from the Vera Cruz region. This gives a rich, chocolaty, nutty flavor coffee, that people love. The taste of this brand was definitely a gourmet delight. A light body coffee with supple acidity, and a nutty flavor, with chocolate overtones. There was a snap to the taste, that was very pleasant. The aroma was that of earthy spicy, and filled the house with a delight, and inviting invitation to come and have a cup before it was gone!.
