Smokehouse Jerky Co. Product Review

I am super excited to try the 13 bags of jerky I got today from the Smokehouse Jerky Co., located in Hemet, CA. In addition to providing a premium product, their mission has been to support others, build up new companies for themselves as route owners and/or distributors. Their shared career expertise and joint contribution to creating an even more productive corporate team mean that their targets will be achieved and surpassed.

The owners Patti and Franco, we're very generous to send so many different Jerky to try. And the best part is one each of their many flavors, I received.

So how I will do it, is take one strip of Jerky out of each bag. So let's get started. I will start from original to the hottest flavor.

Smokehouse Jerky Co.'s, OriginalBrisket Beef Jerky Gluten free, is the first up. It's crafted from quality California brisket beef and refined with their old school recipe. Its mild, smoky taste complements the lean meat of the jerky. This delicious treat is great for people who enjoy the traditional beefy taste. Take a slice and savor its rich and juicy flavor to your heart's content. If you have any dietary concerns, this jerky, the original is gluten free. In every bite you get the taste of a real brisket. The jerky is very tender, and it's very easy to chew, you don't break your teeth on it for sure. Real down to home taste, like a Sunday dinner in a jerky!

Next up is the Western BBQ Recipe Gourmet Uncured Bacon Jerky, also a Gluten free product. When you eat this jerky, you think back to the old west, sitting around a open bit BBQ, and cowboys. You get the delicious taste of bacon, a slight Smokey flavor, and a sweet taste all at the same time. Truly amazing, and would make a great treat any time of the day. The texture is great, not real crisp like bacon, and tastes like it came right off the grill. In fact the Jerky looks just like bacon strips. The spice's that we're used to make the Western BBQ Recipe Jerky is a real authentic flavor, the spice's perfectly balanced. Surely this jerky would be anyone's favorite.

Now on to the Gourmet Uncured Bacon Jerky also known as Old Fashion Maple. Again the Jerky is Gluten free. This jerky looks like bacon strips as well, with the taste of maple syrup, and honey. You get Smokey and sweet in every bite. The texture is chewy, nothing overbearing. And if you love bacon, this would be the jerky for you. It is very delicious in every bite. You can tell by the taste it was perfectly marinated, and brings you back to a breakfast morning with the family.

We are now tasting the Smokehouse Jerky Co., Gourmet Brisket Beef Jerky, garlic pepper. Now if I was making a brisket at home I would be adding garlic to it. So that is the taste I got from this, garlic and just the right amount, with a peppery taste. The texture was again perfect, and the scent was very earthy. You get a slight pungent back taste, with garlic chunks in each bite. But all done in a perfect balance. If you are someone who loves garlic, then this jerky flavor will fit the bill. The beef is lean, and it will take you home to the dinner table. It is a taste that starts out subtle, and then the pepper and garlic come into play, but must say, it's very enjoyable.

The next strip out the bag is the Smokehouse Jerky Co., Gourmet Uncured Bacon Jerky, apple wood smoke style. Now I must say, all the Jerky is delicious, so no worries. And the special part about this jerky is that it is protein based, that is far from plain or far from bland. You get the Smokey taste of the apple wood, the color of black pepper, and the enormous taste of bacon! There is no taste of any artificial junk in this jerky, or any of the above. You taste nothing but love in every bite. If you we're cooking bacon outside on the grill with your apple wood, and grabbed a slice off the grill, this is the taste in this jerky you get. I can't describe it any plainer.
It's a really pretty awesome jerky. A perfect snack to take and eat anytime, anyplace.

Now one of my favorite meals to cook is Carne Asada, so to have it in a jerky, is exciting to me. This is what I am trying now, the Gourmet Brisket Beef Jerky, carne asada. We all know that carne asada is a Latin dish, and that is exactly what this jerky reminds you of. It's a great jerky to grab a beer with and snack away. Each bite gives you a hint of cilantro, and a hit of lime, perfect combo for the jerky. The texture is not over chewy, the flavors Spanish inspired. Anyone looking for a unique flavor in a jerky, this is the one. You also get the taste of fresh jalapenos, which does give a slight heat. Over all the result in the ingredients they used, are perfectly balanced. You get a strip of the jerky that is soft and tender, easy to chew, the no signs of any fat from the brisket.

Now if you are wondering how in the world all of this jerky is getting tested, there's a family of four helping me. So we are moving on to the Gourmet Brisket Beef Jerky, LemonPepper. I hope by now you are getting the pattern here. Jerky made from Brisket or Bacon! Now this jerky from Smokehouse Jerky Co., is a combo of citrus, spicy, and a little peppery. The spice blend is in perfect balance, and made this jerky premium quality. But then again they all we're. Over all its what I would call a combo of tanginess, and sweetly tart. Chewing it is just as fine as the others, very moist, and does not stick to your teeth, or break them off when taking a bite.

So now we will get into the Smokehouse Jerky Co., more spicier flavors, that come with some HEAT!

The "Oh" that’s hot, Gourmet Brisket Beef Jerky is the first of the heat flavor we will try. Now if you like heat, this jerky will spice up your taste buds for sure. It gives you a sweet, Smokey, spicy tingle to your palette. The heat kick comes a little after, in wave form. You taste the spice from the cayenne peppers, some garlic, even a taste of ginger. The heat all brings balance to the other ingredients.

So now on to the Gourmet Brisket Beef Jerky, cracked black pepper jerky. Now this jerky is full blown with the taste of black pepper flavorings. It's tangy, peppery of course, and has cracklings of peppercorns in it. The texture is still soft to chew as all the jerky's are. This also would go with a nice cold beer, sitting on the front porch and snacking away.

Now for another peppery tasting jerky, Smokehouse Jerky Co., included a bag of Gourmet Uncured Bacon Jerky honey and pepper flavor. This is a wonderful combo of sweet and peppery tasting jerky. Again it gives you the taste of bacon right from the hot grill. There's the taste of honey as well. A very distinct flavor for sure. A real treat for the taste buds. The pepper taste is bold, but the honey flavor is what gives you the sweet balance. A very gourmet taste for sure. A delightful taste in every bite.

Well we are slowly getting hotter and hotter. We are now on to the Gourmet Brisket Beef Jerky, spicysweet. The heat for this jerky comes from jalapeno's. The taste, takes you to a new dimension, for sure. Sweet, with heat! The same soft chew, with wonderful flavorings. Imagine cooking your brisket, surrounded by jalapeno's and other sweet and spicy flavors. This jerky is not only satisfying but could be very addictive.

Well we are nearing the end, and are now on the Gourmet Brisket Beef Jerky, ghost pepper. This should come with a warning for novice folks, because it is made with real, yes real ghost peppers. The heat is intense to say the least, and lingers on your tongue for a bit. So if you like hot, this jerky will start you off in the right direction. It is definitely hotter then cayenne, and will hurt your mouth, but in a pleasingly way. It is still delicious, you don't lose that quality of the jerky for sure.

Well the end of the bags, ends with the flavor of Gourmet Brisket Beef Jerky, Carolina reaper. Pray for me now! Let me just say, right through the bag you see the seeds. Now mind you the Carolina reaper pepper is the worlds hottest pepper, so sorry Smokehouse Jerky Co., my bite is going to be very small. Along with the Carolina pepper, there is a addition of the original flavorings, and it gives it a flaming from hell flavor. Eat it with caution for sure. The taste is savage, throat burning, like a volcano going off in your mouth. Make sure to have a glass of milk along with this jerky, and eat it in tiny bits. Unless you can take the heat, then go for it. The jerky is still moist and tender, the infusions are in perfect balance, and the taste is outrageous, just be forewarned.
