Living Tree Community Foods Review


Living Tree Community Foods produces organic nut butter in Berkeley , California. Their  distributing of their, creations are worldwide. The company  is well represented in natural food stores across the United States.


In 1979, Jesse Schwartz, a former college teacher, and John Kozack, a professor and administrator with the Southern California BioDynamic Farming and Gardening Association, established the Living Tree Community in Marin County.



They, distribute live nut butter, olive oil and olives all over the world. Black sesame tahini was introduced at the Natural Products Expo in Anaheim , California in 2003. Their  main creation is Almond Butter made from California Almonds.



The Living Tree Community Foods, donates food to support live food events – most recently the Live Food Film Festival in Los Angeles. They collected food to fund live food workshops from Colorado to Costa Rica and partnered with pioneering live food teachers to arrange workshops and seminars.



And today, I received a jar of Living Tree Community Foods, alive and organic Almond Butter.



Of course I tasted the almond butter, but I also wanted to incorporate it into a recipe. And it held up so good, and made delicious cookies. The almonds that we're used to make the Living Tree Community Foods alive and organic Almond Butter, are always grown by a Californian farming family that is five generations. Right through the jar you can see the sliced up almonds. The almond butter was also made in small batches, which keeps it not only fresh, but alive. The flavors are so delicious, fresh, and nutty. The flavor is so full bodied, right from the jar, but in a recipe over the top. When you open the jar, you are invited in to grab a spoon and taste it. The aroma is so full and rich. The taste is not only fresh, but so clean on the palate. It's smooth, and so very creamy.



What you get from Living Tree Community Foods alive and organic Almond Butter, is not only raw, but alive. They never grind their almonds, but make their almond butter in a unique process. Also its great to know that their almond butter is kosher, and non gmo. 




Living Tree Community Foods alive and organic Almond Butter, is made with only almonds, no other nuts are processed making this product. And in each bite you take you can feel the texture on your palate. As with anything organic made, you have to stir it after you open it, this helps to move the oil around that’s on the top.




Now to help you understand, what is sprouted almond butter, it is a process of soaking and germinating organic raw almonds. After the nuts are dried and then processed at a high temp. This gives you a light and sweet, almond butter, rich with so many nutrients. And very easy to digest. Living Tree Community Foods alive and organic Almond Butter, is a great healthy snack, and great for recipes as well. Any where you would use peanut butter, you can use the almond butter for a substitute. Also great for vegans, and others wanting a great healthy almond butter.



And that I did in making some almond butter cookies. The almond butter melded so perfectly in my cookie recipe, in which I would normally use peanut butter. In each cookie you still get that nutty taste you are looking for. My family really love the taste of the cookies. I feel whether you eat Living Tree Community Foods alive and organic Almond butter cold, or in a recipe, you are going to really enjoy the flavor, and the texture.
