Maple Butterscotch Scone

If you like maple, and scones, then you will love this combo

Ingredients
2 cups flour
3 tablespoons SPLENDA® Brand Brown Sugar Blend
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
3/4 cup butterscotch chips
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 1/2 cups heavy cream, divided
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon butter softened
2 tablespoons maple syrup
3-4 tablespoons of heavy cream

Simple and easy, here's what to do:
In a bowl , combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder and salt. Snip in cold butter with a pastry blender or two forks until the mixture resembles a rough meal. Apply the pieces of butterscotch to the flour mixture.
Mix in the maple syrup and 1 1/4 cup of heavy cream and blend until the dough has come together.
rTurn the dough onto the parchment paper lined baking sheet and form into an 8-inch ring. Place the dough in the freezer for about five minutes.

Preheat the oven at 450 degrees. Take the scones from the freezer and brush the leftover heavy cream.

Bake for 13 minutes or until golden brown. Enable the scones to cool fully before drizzling with your glaze.
To make the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar, butter and maple syrup. Stir in the milk until the required consistency is reached.
