Riceworks gourmet rice snack Review

Dinner will be all about a product I received, and that I will incorporate into each dish. What might that be? Well it will be four different flavors of gourmet rice snacks from the company Riceworks.

Based out of Long Grove, Il, the company created some gourmet chips, that they have so graciously shared with my family. So as I always do, let me share their story with you.

Riceworks was officially created in 2005 when a family rice grower began experimenting with snacks he could make with brown rice. Turns out, saw he was on to something on.  Since the early days of field trials, Riceworks snacks has grown and developed tremendously as part of the Wholesome Goodness family. The use of real ingredients such as whole grain rice is vital to us and helps us to create this tasty, gluten-free gourmet snack without any artificial flavors or preservatives.

To get creative, I started dinner with a nice fiesta salad. I took some nice spinach leaves, some crumbled fried chorizo, and other yummy fixings, and placed them all on top of the Riceworks Wild sea slat and black sesame gourmet rice snack chips. Tasting a chip from the bag, it had a very sophisticated taste, and a nice crunch to it. Paired with the salad was the perfect meld. And they held up great. In every chip you can see the sesame seeds, which when you are serving is a very appealing look. The salt does not over take the taste of the chip, the two ingredients are perfectly balanced. Over all the taste of the chip is on the nutty side. The Riceworks gourmet rice snacks are all gluten free, have whole grains, and whole grain rice. They are cholesterol free, with zero trans fat, and are all naturally delicious. These are a great all natural alternative to other chips, and make you feel great putting a healthy product in your families mouth. Easy snack to take on the run, just pack some in your lunch, or for work or play. And also they we're not only good out of the bag, but fantastic as a bedding for my salad. The best part they passed the "kid" test. 

Before my main dish, I made two side dishes with Riceworks Gourmet rice snacks. The first one I made a corn salsa, and served it with a side of Riceworks Gourmet salsa fresca flavored rice snacks. They picked up the corn salsa, with out breaking, which is always a good sign. The crunch was still there even with the dressing of the corn salsa soaking into the chip. Using the Riceworks gourmet rice snack on the side of my dish gave everyone the opportunity to taste it alone. The salsa fresca rice snack had a amazing taste. A real Spanish flair to it. You can taste all the rich ingredients that Riceworks put into the rice snack. It has the perfect balance of a rice flavor, along with the taste of the dried tomato and spices.

For the second side dish, I decided to see how the Ricework rice snack sweet chili flavor would hold up as a crumbled topping on a hot dish. So that's what I did. I made a rice bake, and five minutes remaining to the dish, topped the crumbled Riceworks gourmet rice snack sweet Chile flavored on top. Needless to say it passed the test. A perfect meld to the rice with a sweet and zesty taste. Tasting the chip out of the bag, it also had the same flavor, so to use it in a warm dish, it did not loose its zesty sweetness. The Riceworks sweet chili flavored rice snack also had the same nice crunch to it. You can taste in each bite the sweet chili seasoning that was used. It's not a hot rice snack per say, so its very "kid" friendly. Riceworks gourmet rice snacks are a great healthy option to reach for.

As far as using Riceworks gourmet rice snacks in a cooked hot dish, I decided to use them again.  This time it was the sea salt flavor as a coating for my chicken strips. They worked! The chicken came out very crispy, better then using other coatings I have used in the past. Being a sea salt rice snack, the salt did not over power you. All of Riceworks gourmet rice snacks are made with brown rice. So you know your getting a really healthy treat. The caramel colored sea salt rice snacks had a great crunch to them, provides such a great taste.

Any of Riceworks gourmet rice snacks would go great with a dip, but they also compliment a good recipe you may have.
