The Spice Lab Seasoning Review

As we walk through the grocery store, and pick up all the items on our list, we never think about, who made it, where does it come from, or what is the back-story. It's so interesting to get products to review, to learn how the company started, to learn all about their passion.

Today I get to try five spices sent to me from The Spice Lab, located in Pompano Beach Florida. A woman owned and family run business, That has been credited with several business awards from 2012 to 2018. The Spice Lab is pleased to deliver the largest range of sea salts from a single source. The company's diverse collection of sea salts, spices, seasonings and similar items is distributed through gourmet and specialty gift stores, large distributors and online via Amazon.com and at www.thespicelab.com.

So it's a great honor to use the products for a family grill night. I love grilling in the warm summer months, and tonight will be even more special with The spice lab products.

The first meat dish I started was my pork ribs, seasoned with, The Spice Lab, Hawaiian Hula Rub. I sprinkled the meat, before, during, and after cooking. It is a perfect meld of sweet and savory seasonings, that made the ribs out of this world delicious. It was as if I injected the ribs with the rub, because the taste of the spices went all the way to the bone. It was easy to use, just follow the directions, of coating the meat with a little oil, then sprinkle on the Hawaiian Hula Rub. I can not even begin to tell you how amazing the taste is, not just the meat but the spice rub as well. Its delicious flavors are very unique, sweet and savory at the same time. The combination of all the ingredients are balanced perfectly. There is even a hint of citrus taste in each bite. This would be a great rub on just about any meat, chicken, or even a fish dish.

For the men in the family I grilled some New York strip steaks. And for the coating, I used the Spice Lab, Ancho Chili and Coffee Steak Rub. Another amazing flavor on the meat. It was sweet and smoky, and the meat turned out so moist and tender. For both grill meats so far, the only flavors came from The Spice Lab, products. The steak was so mouth watering, and enjoyed by the men in the family, not a piece of the steak was left. To use The Spice Lab, Ancho Chili and Coffee Steak Rub, you do the same technique, oil the meat lightly and season. I did this but also passed the jar to the men to sprinkle even more on, in which they did. You could not only taste the ancho chili flavor, but the bursting spices in the mix. Coffee combined with the heat of the ancho chili gave the steak a nice earthy flavor. Also when you open the jar of The Spice Lab, Ancho Chili and Coffee Steak Rub, the aromas right away escape, which are a rich scent. This would be great in a meatloaf recipe, even on chicken, not just steak.

For me a cook out is not complete with out grilled chicken. So for that seasoning, I used The Spice Lab, Smoky Pecan Rib BBQ seasoning blend. See you can use these spices for other then they state! This was the perfect seasoning to pair with my grilled chicken, giving it not only flavor but color. The Spice Lab, Smoky Pecan seasoning, gave the chicken a burst of flavor. Before grilling my chicken, I lightly oiled both sides, then sprinkled every where with the Smoky Pecan mix. Then after twenty minutes of soaking in the spice, I placed it on the grill. Talk about juicy and flavorful chicken, it was amazing. The flavors are sweet, nutty, and smoky, in every bite of the chicken. You can use this spice in any recipe as far as my opinion goes. It's very versatile as all of them are. This Smoky Pecan BBQ rub would be great in pulled pork, or even in a cornbread recipe.

Now in the group I have some heat lovers, so just for them I made some burgers using The Spice Lab, Nashville Hot Chicken Seasoning. Who says you have to follow the rule and use it on chicken! This was a hit out of the ballpark with flavor. It also gave the burgers a beautiful rich deep red color. The heat comes from hot chili peppers and tangy mustard ingredients in the blend. Its sweet but at the same time fiery. I could see in my near future using this in a egg dish, or even coating some veggies with it and roast them. As for the burgers, this to was the only flavor ingredient used, and it created the most juiciest burger I ate in awhile. If you’re a heat lover you will definitely fall in love with this seasoning from The Spice Lab.

Well I had one more seasoning to go from The Spice Lab, and that was their Taco seasoning blend. Taco's we're not on my menu, but another burger was. So when mixing my hamburger meat, just as I previously did, I incorporated The Spice Lab, Taco Seasoning Spice. The all natural blend has chilies and spices that made my burger so tasty and juicy. The heat from the taco seasoning is perfect, very kid friendly as well. The burgers also had a great color to them, from the smoked paprika in the taco seasoning. In every bite you got a southwestern taste, from cumin and the chipotle powder. Nothing like a sweet, tangy, juicy burger. Now you can use, The Spice Lab, Taco seasoning in tacos, but you could also use it on chicken, or sprinkle over your veggies, and how about a baked egg dish with cheese.

What ever you like to cook, these seasonings from The Spice Lab, will add a ton of flavor, and coloring to your dishes. They have so many products you will love, and a ton of information on at their online store.
