Day #4 Southern City Flavors Pepper Jellys Review

Its my last day cooking and tasting the products sent over from Southern CityFlavors. I was not the only one who enjoyed them, family and friends we're thrilled. All the products taste so great, and made all my recipes heavenly. Sad to say, I am at the end, and today's cooking will be with Southern CityFlavors pepper jellies.

First up, was breakfast, and for that meal, I made some country biscuits, with country ham, and used the strawberry pineapple pepper jelly for my condiment. The jelly is a combo of sweet and heat, that is perfectly balanced. In every bite you taste the fruits, then at the end the heat comes. Nothing to cry about, the meld is well in balance. The flavors are wonderful and the jelly so versatile. It would be great on a baked fish as the top glaze, or poured over some cream cheese with a side of crackers. All in all this Southern City Flavorsstrawberry pineapple pepper jelly is a medley of delicious sweetness and spice.

For dessert to end our evening I wanted to have some thumbprint cookies, and used Southern City Flavors to fill them. The flavor was peach mango jalapeno jelly, and with the buttery flavor of the cookie, the overall taste again was sweet, and spicy. You get that wonderful peachy taste, and then comes the jalapeno kick, tapered off by the butter thumbprint cookie. And because the jelly is made with such fresh ingredients, the spice is a little more significant, but your not dying from it. It is still a great summer time flavor, and would be great in many different types of recipes. This is a very decadent jelly, that you can tell was made at the peak peach ripeness time.

For lunch I made every one a sandwich with cheese and grilled chicken. and slathered on some of Southern City Flavors blackberry jalapeno jelly. These jellies make wonderful condiments that add so much flavor. It was a great meld to pair with chicken and cheese. The first taste that hits your taste buds is the sweetie slightly tart blackberries, then Mr. kick comes in. But like I said, you are not going to have a thousand tears running down your face. The ingredients are perfectly combined and paired. The consistency of all the jelly are semi thick, making them easy to spread. And all contain the natural juices from the berries. The taste of this Southern City Flavors blackberry jalapeno pepper jelly is fantastic, again a combo of sweet and heat. Not burning all the way down, a very enjoyable jelly.

I wanted to make a decadent snack, while dinner was cooking. So while we waited for our food, we had a great appetizer of a baked brie with raspberry jalapeno jelly over top and a side of butter crackers. Not only did it look stunning, it tasted heavenly. The red raspberry jalapeno jelly is so vibrant, and taste so yummy. This is a favorite in Southern City Flavors, and I know if you taste it, it would be yours to. Once the jelly hits your taste buds, it’s a wonderful combo of sweet, tangy and a gentle kick. This is a very versatile jelly that could be used in so many recipes, not just with cheese.

Dinner was a ham and cheese roulade with Southern City Flavors Serrano jelly. And not only did it look good, it tasted even better. It was spicy, but then again there was a sweetness to it that helped to balance the pepper taste out. It’s a nice spreading jelly easy to use to cook with. A vibrant color with a decadent taste. Every bite you take, you taste the care that was put into these jelly combo's. The Serrano pepper jelly would be great on a baked fish, or served as a condiment, and it will be the star ingredient for sure. It definitely like all the jellies is a great staple to have. The Southern City Flavor Serrano pepper jelly, truly is a show stopper for taste.
