Todd's Dirt Seasoning/Marinade Product Review

I had fun all day cooking with product seasonings sent over from a company called, Todd's Dirt.

However, it's not dirt at all, its seasonings and marinade's, that Todd, the Dirt Man took years to get together, and come up with a unique name. Todd's Dirt seasonings, has a great history to it, and on the website is a wonderful read, from their humble beginnings to present day.

I was really excited to cook today, using these seasonings and marinade's, which has won many awards.

So let's start with what I made for breakfast, and what seasoning I used first.

Breakfast was some yummy, Mexican huevos, using Todd's Bayou Dirt. It was of course the only seasoning for the entire dish, and it was delicious. This seasoning was, a Creole, Cajun type seasoning, perfectly blended. It had ingredients of, Kosher Salt, Paprika, Pepper, Onion, Garlic, Cayenne Pepper, Chili Powder, Chipotle Powder, Oregano, Basil, Parsley, Thyme, Sage and Rosemary. And when your cooking and need spice, this is a great go to as far as condiments. The sodium level is very low, but the heat is spot on. If your looking to spice up a dish, definitely this Todd's Bayou Dirt will do the trick. Not only a great spice, but it adds great color to your dish as well. The sixteen spices that make up this Bayou Dirt, is truly a cooks dream. You don't need any other seasonings, they are all there in the jar! This Bayou Dirt, is also gluten free, and is all natural with no msg.

Next I used Todd's Chesapeake Dirt, in some crab salad I made for everyone for lunch. After all, Chesapeake is well know for Crab anything. It was perfect in my crab salad, but it is a very versatile seasoning that goes well with anything you eat. It was a wonderful flavor enhancer for the crab, takes you right to the Chesapeake Bay. There is twenty spices in all that make up this seasoning blend, Basil, Oregano, Thyme, Rosemary, Kosher Salt, Garlic, Chipotle Powder, Celery Salt, Dry Mustard, Paprika, Cloves, Ginger, Black Pepper, Cayenne Pepper, White Pepper, Onion, Sage, Cinnamon, Parsley. Again, the only flavoring in the crab salad. The Chesapeake Dirt would go well with any type of seafood dish, but don't dismiss a meat dish, or even a egg salad. This is nothing like your traditional crab seasoning, this goes with all food groups. The taste is just amazing, and I look forward to using it, as well as all the products, for more dish's.

So far, so good, literally.

With that being said, I was excited to see how dinner would go. And for the first dish, I used Todd's original Dirt, in some homemade stuffing. It worked so well, with its nice mild savory flavor. This is one of Todd's award winning seasoning blends, and after you taste it you can tell why. Not only did the adults enjoy it, but the Grandkids did as well. It has a nice mix of herbs and spices, fourteen in fact, Basil, Oregano, Thyme, Kosher Salt, Garlic, Pepper, Onion, Parsley, Rosemary, Sage, Cilantro & Other Spices. It truly is a cooks gourmet dream. Also its just as versatile as all the products are. Sprinkle it on your food, or coat your food entirely, either way, you dish will be amazing.

Also I made some roasted veggies in a acorn squash bowl. I marinated the veggies with Todd's Dirt, down and dirty marinade. I didn't need a lot of the marinade, just enough to glaze all the veggies, and it turned out beautiful looking, and had a mouth watering flavor. I love that all the products from Todd's Dirt are so versatile. The ingredients include, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein, Water, Corn Syrup, Vinegar, Molasses , Salt, Caramel Color, Garlic Powder, Sugar, Spices, Tamarind, Natural Flavor, Sulfating Agent, Lactic Acid, Cultured Dextrose, Curry Powder, Sea Salt, Paprika, Oregano, Black Pepper, Garlic, Onion Powder, Parsley, Basil, Onion, Rosemary, Sage, Cilantro, & other Spices, Xanthan Gum, contains Soy. It's a sweet and bold marinade, getting sweetness from the molasses. You can transform your boring dish, to a exciting one for sure with this marinade.

For Todd's Dirt, Original Marinade, I made some tostones, and used the marinade as a dip. It worked! The ingredients of, Water, Olive Oil, Soybean Oil, Sea Salt, Pepper, Garlic, Oregano, Basil, Onion, Parsley, Rosemary, Sage, Cilantro, & other Spices, Lactic Acid, Cultured Dextrose, Xanthan Gum, made it a great dipping sauce. But it would be great to marinade fish or meat as well. Also it would be great as a dressing for many types of salads, especially those that have seafood, poultry, or meat in them. You can do so much with it. And all the spices and the oil's are already in the jar.

For the main dish, I made some baked chicken using Todd's Dirt, salty sailor. The ingredients not only gave the chicken finger licking flavor, but color as well. Ingredients like, Salt, Black Pepper, Sea Salt, Garlic, Onion, Paprika, Chili Pepper, Cumin, Herbs & Spices. The blend was inspired by Todd's dad whom was a Navy Master Chief. It’s a great blend for not only seafood, but red meat as well. No matter if your baking, grilling, or stove top cooking, this Salty Sailor blend will make a party in your mouth. The flavor will remind you of a Texas BBQ, sitting around a campfire. Just so good.
