PoPt Gourmet Popcorn Product Review

 

There is a very rich history where popcorn is concerned. You have your movie theater popcorn, your boxed popcorn, then there is your gourmet popcorn. In which, like I received today!

From, Hays, KS, ten bags of gourmet popcorn came, and the company is called POPT!

When you think, of grabbing a bag of popcorn, you never dream it would come in more then sixty flavors. Flavors of your favorite candy, your favorite spice, even your favorite food. But at POPT!, they make those flavors, and all in a gourmet fashion. It's fresh, and make with real ingredients, such as cheese, and caramel that is handmade. You care able to get the POPT!, popcorn in bags, gift boxes, even in tins and buckets for those special occasions. You name it you can get it. There is even a shop to stop by and see the wonderful gourmet products, POPT!, has to offer. From their gourmet popcorn, to their gourmet fudge and treats, you will be transformed back to your early childhood days!

With so much to tell you about, tasting, these gourmet kernels, let's get started.

Gather around the TV, and place each bag of gourmet popcorn out from, POPT!, is what our family evening was about. And it was a blast!

 First up, we opened the bag of, POPT!, blueberry muffin popcorn. The name right off the bat makes you wonder, if it's going to taste like that fresh blueberry muffin, you might enjoy, for breakfast or a snack. Well, it did, and it was nectar to your lips. You will not believe what is in the bag, fresh popped kernels, with a blueberry flavor, then white chocolate and a heaping of real, yes real, blueberry muffin morsels. A perfect gourmet popcorn, worthy to give to family and friends! Every bite is crisp and so flavorful, it is a pure delight. It reminds you of that buttery baked blueberry muffin, baking in your kitchen. And yes, the aroma when you open the bag, is of fresh blueberries.

Next up, was a sampling of, POPT!, spicy buffalo. Now when you think of spicy buffalo, lets be honest, you think of chicken wings. Well not this time. It's the same great flavor profile, without all the mess on your fingers. It is truly a gourmet popcorn, with a unique taste. Its spicy, and savory at the same time from the cheddar cheese. It makes you want to run to the kitchen for that side dish of celery, and ranch dressing. No hot sauce is needed, here, you get that nice spicy buffalo flavor you crave right on the popped kernels. This is where spicy buffalo, meets popcorn, and is the perfect meld. Even the color reminds you of that golden yellow chicken wing.

Moving on, it just keeps going, with great flavors. The, POPT!, funky monkey flavor was next. And once you start eating it, you don't want to stop. Every kernel of popcorn you place in your mouth, gives you a tasty banana flavor, that is covered in a succulent peanut butter coating, then the finish is a wonderful milk chocolate drizzle. Your mouth has gone to heaven! A true gourmet blended popcorn, that is a party in your mouth. One thing for sure, these popcorns are not your store brand stuff. Each bite you taste the thought and time it took to create them. It's just a very delectable gourmet treat, to enjoy any time, any place. Be prepared, you won't want to stop!

The next flavor from, POPT! is very unique. And for me, one of my fav's. I mean I love to eat a fresh slice of parmesan cheese, but add garlic to it and it is a whole new level of tasty. And that was the next flavor, from POPT!, parmesan garlic. It's savory and lip smacking in every bite you take. You have a wonderful blend of white cheeses, and parmesan, then the perfect amount of garlic flavor at the core. If you’re a cheese lover, you will fall in love with these kernel pops! My compliments to who ever came up with this flavor.

Now when you dine out, there are times you order your baked potato with your meal, and you have the option of getting it loaded. But did you ever guess you could get popcorn in the same flavor profiles. Well you can, when POPT!, creates it. That's what was in the next bag, popcorn with of the loaded baked potato flavor. Didn't need to go out to a restaurant, didn't need to cook, all the flavors and taste of a loaded baked potato was right in the bag. Even when you open the bag, the aroma just flows to your nose. It’s a wonderful unique flavor, that covers large fluffy popcorn kernels, that were popped just right, and covered in, a POPT!, secret recipe seasoning. Ugh! If we could only know. But we can't so enjoy it anyway, it's very mouth watering for sure. The seasoning just brings the popcorn to life, as if you are eating that potato in a five star restaurant. All it's missing is a dapple of sour cream!

Now if it's Taco's, you love, then you will enjoy the next flavor from, POPT!, which yes is their Taco popcorn. Now don't think we are being hogs, each of us are trying a handful out of each bag, and we are having a popcorn blast. Every popped kernel in the bag, is covered perfectly with the right amount of taco seasoning, paired with a corn flavoring of the popcorn. Think of a roasted corn cob with taco seasoning on it, you will think of a street fair for sure. POPT!, seasons the popcorn so perfectly, nothing is over seasoned or flavored at all. There's no over salty taste, that has you running for water, all the ingredients are combined to perfection. This popcorn, with the taco flair, will go perfectly in hand with a good margarita!

The next flavor from, POPT!, I would have never guessed. It's a bright green color, can you think of what it might be? Well I don't know what you guessed, but I bet it wasn't MTN Dew. Yes, you read correctly, that sparkling soda that is so refreshing, was the next flavor from, POPT!. Just saying the flavor, makes your mouth water. And when you taste it, you really get the taste of a nice can of Mountain Dew soda. The popped fluffy kernels are coated with a Mountain Dew Flavor, that reminds you of sitting at the soda counter from days gone by. A wonderful fluffed popcorn, with that great lemon citrus flavor, minus the caffeine! Everyone really enjoyed this flavor. And the deep green color, really draws you in, to guess the flavor!

There was also a bag from, POPT! called S'mores, and for this flavor I got a little more creative, and drizzled more milk chocolate over the kernels and added some mini marshmallows. It was a camping campfire in the living room for sure. No need to run out and buy all the ingredients, to make some smores, all you need is already in the bag of popcorn. This is, POPT!'s own version of S'mores gourmet popcorn, and they hit it out the ball park. It reminds you of sitting by a campfire, eating them gooey treats, in each bite. But no campfire, no sticky fingers, here, just a true gourmet popcorn flavor from POPT!. Covered already in caramel, with some added milk chocolate, and real graham cracker bits and marshmallows, my added ingredients took it to a whole new level. However, it was not needed, because the S'mores taste was already there!

Cake, who doesn't love it. Chocolate cake, cheesecake, how about a red velvet cheesecake popcorn. That's what, POPT! created. A wonderful popcorn to treat yourself to and indulge on. Popcorn, that has a luscious caramel coating, and bite size pieces of red velvet Oreo cookies added in. Then the fluffy popcorn is drizzled in Ghirardelli white chocolate. This popcorn if worthy of a quite evening with a love one, watching a romantic movie and munching on some, red velvet cheesecake popcorn, from POPT! You can fall in love all over again, while you fall in love with this flavor. And the best part, it would make a wonderful Valentine Day gift, or a Anniversary gift as well. It is just super duper tasty!

To end our popcorn party for the evening, the last bag from, POPT!, was their spicy dill pickle popcorn, worthy of having with a cold brewed beer, or sparkling soda. It's a nice dill flavored popcorn, with a hint of heat from habenero. It’s a combo of sweet and heat, and a party on your palate. Now even though it has habenero, you are not going to have a jug of water sitting next to you, it is very well combined with the dill seasoning. It’s a nice fresh tasting popcorn, with a incredible flavor profile. It's more tangy then it is sour, and the habenero flavor comes near the end, just enough to say, I’m here!

There are just so many popcorn flavors to choose from, as well as other yummy treats from, POPT!. You just have to head over to their website and check them all out. I promise you, they don't disappoint!
