From North Carolina, I had some great country hams to try. The company is called, Alexanders Ham Company, family owned and operated.

The two ham slices came in handy for breakfast today. It's easy to cook and makes a great addition to your dish. The country ham is great for a side dish, or make it the main dish. However you choose to eat it, it's divine.

 

Country ham is different from other ham, it is heavily salted and preserved by curing and smoking. It’s a great staple of the South, and goes well any time of day, on your plate.

I could not wait to start my breakfast with, Alexanders Ham, and for the first dish, made some country ham with red eye gravy. It was just so moist and tender to cut into. And full of ham flavor in every bite. It’s a very versatile ham, that you can use to create many dish's with. You don't know what true ham taste like, until you try a country ham, and Alexanders Ham Company, knows their ham well.

The next dish, was some country ham egg benedict's, and it was just heavenly. The ham was the star of the breakfast for sure. If you have never tried country ham, you must.
