Carolina Gold Sunflower Oil Review

 

Today I get  to make a few dish's using, Carolina Gold sunflower oil.

The company is from, Harrellsville, NC and is a family owned and operated business for over 107 years. Owned and run by the Britt family since 1910. Not only has the sunflower oil business stayed the same but the Britt house has as well on their farm land.

Sunflower is great for cooking, and the one I got from Carolina Gold, is Mediterranean extra virgin cold pressed. This retains the flavor of the seeds. The oil is non gmo, and gluten free.

 

Not only is it a wonderful oil for cooking, but for skin products as well. The, Carolina Gold sunflower oil has soluble vitamins, and many benefits of high oleic. Sunflower oil is great for baking, sautéing, and frying, and taste wonderful, especially when infused.

I was ready to try this new product I received today, from Carolina Gold, being a first for me. It is their Mediterranean extra virgin cold pressed, and for lunch, I used it for a Mediterranean grilled cheese. The eight ounce jar is fill with Mediterranean ingredients such as,  Crushed Red Pepper, Coarse Black Pepper, Greek Oregano, Rosemary, Sweet Basil, Parsley, Garlic Powder, Minced Garlic, and Sea Salt. So everything you need for flavor is already in the jar. It gave my grilled cheese ingredients a wonderful flavor. Not only did I add it to the inside ingredients of my grilled cheese, but sprinkled a little in the pan to fry my sandwich as well.

For dinner I decided to use some in a small bowl for a bread dip. This gave me the chance to truly scoop up all the wonderful ingredients inside the jar of, Carolina Gold, Mediterranean sunflower oil. It taste so yummy, a nice nutty flavor in every bite. This is such a versatile product, that can be used in a pesto, to a salad dressing. And you not need any other ingredient, it's already in the jar, waiting to enhance what ever dish you create.

Since it's a hot day out, I decided to make a nice Mediterranean pasta salad for dinner. And the dressing was a drizzle of, Carolina Gold sunflower oil, in their Mediterranean flavor. Again, all the flavor came from the bottle, and paired with the pasta salad ingredients, it was a perfect meld.
