Etsy Buttery Brittle Review

It's been a while since I had a dessert party, but tonight the family and I did.

Using buttery brittle, a company that makes delicious buttery brittle with an array of different nuts. All the brittle is homemade, and you taste the love that went into it in each bite you taste.

The brittle has a wonderful crunch to it and yet starts to melt in your mouth as well. It's full of nuts too, and they don't skimp at all. Another great feature is the buttery brittle is gluten-free.

With that being said let me tell you about my family's dessert night.

The first thing I made to get set in the freezer was panna ice cream made with breakage of Buttery Brittle, and almond brittle. When we started our family dessert night it was a great hit. The almond brittle made a delicious topping.

Next was some cupcakes that I made and topped them not only with crushed brittle but a big slice sitting on top of the cupcakes. And for this, I chose the Buttery Brittle, cashew. So yummy not only incorporated into a dessert but by itself as well.

Cookies are also great with Buttery Brittle incorporated into them. That being said I made some not only with Buttery Brittle macadamia brittle but peanut brittle. So easy to make by breaking the brittle and crumbling some as well. Every bite is a nice surprise of delicious brittle in yummy flavors.

Another ice cream dessert that I made was some ice cream boats with pistachio brittle. Now don't panic, I did not go overboard on the sweets, the family shared most of them JThe pistachio brittle is my topping for this dessert, broken into pieces and topping my whip cream. It gave a wonderful crunch to the ice cream boat. And was so yummy on its own as well.

Next and last was a pecan brittle smores dessert. The brittle comes in so many delectable nut flavors. This dessert was made with the Buttery Brittle, pecan, and was amazing.

INGREDIENTS

16 (4-3/4-by-2-1/2-inch) whole graham crackers

8 tablespoons unsalted butter (1 stick), cut into 6 pieces

1/2 cup packed light brown sugar

1/4 plus 1/8 teaspoons fine salt

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

4 cups mini marshmallows

1 1/4 cups bittersweet chocolate chips

8 tablespoons of dried fruit of your choice

1 1/3 cups Buttery Brittle pecan, broken pieces

Preheat the oven to 350°F and place a rack in the center. Line a rimmed baking sheet with two overlapping layers of aluminum foil, covering the entire sheet and all four sides. Arrange the graham crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet, filling any empty areas with broken-up pieces; leave aside. In a small, heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter, brown sugar, and salt and bring to a full boil, stirring regularly with a rubber spatula to dissolve the sugar, for about 5 to 6 minutes. Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla carefully.

Spread the mixture evenly over the graham crackers using a rubber spatula. Sprinkle marshmallows and Buttery Brittle, pecan evenly over the top in a single layer. Bake for 8 minutes, or until marshmallows are puffy and beginning to color. Place the baking sheet on a wire rack and remove it from the oven. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the marshmallows and set aside for 5 minutes to soften. To make a marbled pattern, lightly run a toothpick or skewer across the surface and through the softened chocolate chips. If using, evenly sprinkle with nuts. Allow it cool for about 20 minutes before refrigerating or freezing until the chocolate has set, around 15 to 30 minutes. Retrieve the s'mores slab from the baking sheet by lifting it in one piece with the foil. Place on a chopping board. Remove and dispose of the foil. Cut the slab into 2-inch squares using a sharp knife. Refrigerate the bars for up to four days between layers of waxed paper in a jar with a tight-fitting cover. Top with more brittle and dried fruit.

If I have made your mouth water head over to Buttery Brittle on Etsy, your palate will thank you!
