Christmas Dinner Table

Christmas is a time for family, friends, and food. And what would a Christmas celebration be without a delicious holiday recipe? This blog post will share a recipe for a classic Christmas dish that will surely please everyone at your holiday table.

Ingredients

1 (12-pound) turkey, thawed

1 onion, quartered

2 carrots, quartered

2 celery stalks, quartered

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried sage

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

Rinse the turkey inside and out with cold water. Pat dry with paper towels.

Place the turkey in a roasting pan. Stuff the cavity with the onion, carrots, celery, thyme, sage, salt, and pepper.

Brush the turkey with the melted butter.

Roast the turkey for 3 to 3 1/2 hours, or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh registers 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.

Tips

To make the turkey more flavorful, brine it overnight before roasting.

You can baste the turkey with pan juices every 30 minutes to keep it moist.

If you don't have time to make homemade stuffing, you can use store-bought stuffing.

You can also serve the turkey with your favorite side dishes, such as mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and green bean casserole.

Enjoy!
