PastaMore Product Review

Today from Denver, CO. I received several products just in time to make lunch. The company PastaMore, sent over three of their products, that are gourmet made. They make handmade pastas, and handcrafted oils, and vinegar's.

The company started 16 years ago with a vision, and has grown into a gourmet food business, that spans all over the country. Relationships we've developed with several people by their, nearby Farmers Markets, Italian Festivals, Wine Festivals and Art Shows.

Being Italian, I love my pasta. And this will be my first time trying a lemon pepper linguini. After cooking the pasta, the only topping I used was butter, and minced garlic, some clams, and fresh lemon, and the combo was fantastic. You get the taste from the pasta, of lemon zest, and black pepper. This pasta to me does not need a red sauce. It would be great, paired in so many different ways. For example a white wine clam sauce, or even a lemon oil drizzle, even add some chicken or shrimp. The possibilities are endless. The pasta was done in five minutes, and was ready for a toss of the topping.

Also included in the box was a bottle of PastaMore's basil parmesan olive oil. With this I made a dipping sauce for some Italian bread. To the dip I also added some finely minced garlic, and it was a great compilation. The taste of the olive oil, was fantastic. You could taste all the main ingredients, like the basil and parmesan cheese. The aroma of the basil parmesan olive oil reminds, me of freshly chopped basil leaves. Also there are walnuts in the olive oil as well. Another first for me, and I loved it. Lunch is going great so far! The olive oil reminds you of pesto, so I am going to try this another day over pasta.

Also I added a dish, of mozzarella cheese and tomato salad, along with the barrel aged balsamic vinegar as a drizzle. True Modena Balsamic Vinegar, Italy is a hallmark in Italian cuisine. It is the world's most popular vinegar in professional gourmet kitchens. The more balsamic vinegar is aged, the thicker the flavor, the sweeter and is richer. The taste is tart and sweet at the same time, and the texture thick. The balsamic is definitely what traditional vinegar from Italy taste like. This is truly a remarkable versatile product. It can be used in your dessert's, on veggies, on meat, fish, so many dishes.
