Cox Farm Stand Product Review

 

Lunch, Dinner, and dessert, was made with farm fresh products today, that I received from Cox's Farm Stand, located in Rapid City, SD.

All the vegetables that are jarred for their products are picked fresh from the garden in Vale SD. Every thing is locally grown, and are quality products for all families to enjoy.

Cox's Farm Stand also supports a healthier community, by partnerships, and educational programs.

All the products are made with real ingredients, nothing artificial, just simple garden grown vegetables and fruits.

Let me share with you my day of cooking and enjoying products from Cox's Farm Stand.

First up was lunch. On a brioche bun, I placed some BBQ pulled pork, that I totally flavored with Cox's Farm Stand, peach BBQ bourbon sauce. And that was it, all the flavor and taste came from the homemade BBQ sauce. After shaving the pork for the sandwich's, I poured half a bottle of Cox's Farm Stand peach bourbon bbq sauce on the pork and let it sit for twenty minutes. The pork shreds were soaked in the sauce and then I put it in the crock pot until it was done. After that, I poured the rest of the bottle on the pork, and assembled the sandwich. It was a tasty sandwich, that was lip smacking good. The sauce steeped right into the pork, and you could taste it in every bite. Every bite was sweet, with a taste of bourbon, that just made a party in your mouth. This is a great fresh tasting BBQ sauce, you would love having on hand.

For dinner I made two appy's, the first being the peach salsa straight out of the jar, with tortilla chips, so I could taste the salsa and savor it. You could taste the fresh veggies, and feel the slight kick from the jalapenos. It was a nice texture not to chunky, but still able to feel the texture of the veggies. The peach salsa also had tomatoes in it so, it had a beautiful color, and no acid taste. The combo of peach and tomato just sung on your taste buds, a sweet and savory song!

The second appy, was bruschetta, topped with cream cheese and Cox's Farm Stand Vidalia onion relish. The relish was so delicious, it just melted into your mouth with every bite you took. And the sweetness from the Vidalia onion was sweet as good be. The smell of the Vidalia onion relish, warmed up before placing it on the toasted bruschetta and cream cheese topping, just smelled amazing. It was a perfect blend, that was delicious and memorable. This Cox's Farm Stand, Vidalia onion relish is a very versatile relish, that can replace many condiments, or added as a extra ingredient for flavor. You can also just eat it right from the jar.

Next was some roasted chicken breast, that was covered in Cox's Farm Stand Jalapeno Honey Mustard. It was a great hit at the dinner table. The flavor just went right through the chicken, with extra served in a bowl. The heat level of the jalapenos in the honey mustard was perfect, not over bearing at all. You get the sweetness from the honey, to counter balance the heat. If you like a mustard that is zesty and sweet, then Cox's Farm Stand honey mustard is perfect. You can use it as a condiment, a marinade, or add it to your favorite recipe for a ton of flavor.

Dessert was some cookies with a center filled with raspberry jalapeno jam. Another great product from Cox's Farm Stand, that brought sweet, with heat. The jam like all the products are made with real ingredients, and the seeds in the jam proves that. You can use the jam, for a cookie filling, serve it on brie or cream cheese, use it to coat your favorite ribs, its very versatile. Again even with jalapenos, as a ingredient, it was not making you sweat when eating it.

All these products are a great staple to add to your kitchen. Also they would make a great hostess gift.
