1836 Texas Olive Company Product Review

 

From, Dimmit County, TX, I get to try some olive oil and pink Himalayan salt, on my dinner dish's tonight.

The Company is, 1836, A Texasolive company, that is owned and operated by Kerry Thornhill. Kerry has been farming olives since 2012, and also works for Texas olive growers and organizations. She supports them and educates them as well. Her passion comes from paying homage to her Grandparents. The first bottle of the extra virgin olive oil was harvested in the fall of 2016, as the name sake: 1836 A Texas Olive Company. Now the tasty olive oil is available with Williams Sonoma, and has also been featured in Truffle Masters culinary.

With the, 1836 A Texas OliveCompany, olive oil. The bottle came in a gift set from the company, along with some pink Himalayan salt. The extra virgin olive oil, is a 500ml, bottle with a special insert under the lid, so no other olive oil can be poured in.

For my starter course, I made a tomato and mozzarella salad, with a drizzle of the olive oil, and topped with Himalayan salt for some added flavor. The olive oil is a nice greenish color, and was a perfect drizzle for the salad. I used the olive oil at room temperature as well, and it paired nicely with the cold salad. The pink Himalayan salt, gave a nice little salty crunch to the top of the salad. Pink Himalayan salt is a great substitute for table salt, and has much more healthy benefits. It gave the salad a nice delicate flavor, and paired well with the 1836, olive oil.

For the main dish, I made a nice cold Mediterranean pasta salad with feta, coated with the 1836 A Texas Olive Company, olive oil. It brought a wonderful flavor and taste to the cold pasta salad. There was a amazing fruity flavor to the olive oil. The 1836 olive oil, has a nice buttery flavor, with a almond undertone taste. There was no bitterness to the olive oil at all. It makes for a great olive oil that can be used daily. Very well balanced oil. This 1836 extra virgin olive oil is grown in Asherton, Texas, with Tosca olives.

For a side dish, I made some roasted cherry tomato's, and made a tomato caprese, again using the 1836, extra virgin olive oil. This truly is a gourmet olive oil, that is very versatile. You can use it for hot dish's, or cold dish's, either one, your results are pleasing to the palate. The flavor profile is mild, with a grassy tone, and really brought fourth the roasted cherry tomato caprese dish flavors. 1836, extra virgin olive oil, would make a delicious addition to many types of dish's, from a salad dressing to a medium heat cooking dish. Each bite you take of your food, your tasting the love that went into the process of the,1836 extra virgin olive oil. This woman owned company, knows their stuff, and it shines through in their product. The oil is from the 2020 harvest, and is so fresh and delectable to taste. If your looking to complement your dish's, this is the olive oil to try. It's light, refreshing flavor will take your dish to new heights.

To end the evening, I made some brownies with a topping of the 1836, Himalayan salt. You are left with a very tasty sweet and salty chocolate dessert that was very decedent. The 1836, Himalayan salt, is not only delicious, but very healthy for you. So you feel guilt free using it. You can use it in the replacement for other salts, and add a extra bling to your dish's. Pink Himalayan salt help to balance electrolytes, increase the absorption of nutrients, balance pH, improve circulation, and eliminate toxins from the body.
