Labor Day Picnic: A Classic Summer Recipe




 Labor Day is the perfect time to enjoy the last days of summer with friends and family. And what better way to celebrate than with a delicious picnic? This classic summer recipe will surely be a hit at your Labor Day gathering.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions:

1.  Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

2.  In a medium bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

3.  Place the chicken breasts in a large zip-top bag and pour the marinade over top. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.

4.  Remove the chicken breasts from the marinade and discard the marinade.

5.  Grill the chicken breasts for 10-12 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

6.  Let the chicken breasts rest for a few minutes before slicing.

7.  Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for a few minutes, or in a toaster oven.

8.  Assemble the sandwiches with the chicken, your favorite toppings, and a drizzle of barbecue sauce.

9.  Enjoy!
