I made a
yummy, apple chicken breakfast skillet, with Vogel's Texas Moxie boldly
delicious spices. You get a little heat from the chili peppers in the jar, and
sweetness from the brown sugar. The caramel color it gives your food, is very
inviting, to just dive right in for a bite. All the other spices and herbs are
perfectly balanced for a unique
Ingredients
1
pound Fresh Ground Chicken
4
tablespoons olive oil
1 cup
sweet onion, diced
1 medium
sweet, crisp apple
2
tablespoons of, Vogel's
4 cups
shredded potatoes
4
large eggs
In a medium pan over medium heat, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
Sauté
the onion for about 2 minutes, or until it is somewhat tender.
Cook
for 2 minutes more after adding the apples.
Combine
the ground chicken, dried sage, and 2 tablespoons of Vogel's
Cook
for 6 to 8 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
Transfer
to a large mixing bowl.
Heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil in the same skillet over medium heat.
Combine
the shredded potatoes with the remaining Vogel'
Sauté
potatoes for 3 to 4 minutes, or until golden brown on the bottom, without
stirring.
Sauté
for 5 to 6 minutes more, or until the potatoes are golden all over.
Pull
the potatoes from the heat and top with the chicken apple combination.
Make four indentations in the chicken-apple mixture using a wooden spoon.

should be cracked into each depression.
Place
the pan in a preheated 375°F oven for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the eggs are
cooked to your liking.
Take
the skillet from the oven and serve immediately.
