Sticky deliciousness of Pecan Pie, but in a
more portable hand-held shape, which is great because you'll never want this
bark to escape your eyes.
13 graham
crackers
1 cup (2
sticks) of unsalted butter
1 cup brown
sugar2 cups pecan halves, roughly chopped
1/4 teaspoon
salt
1 teaspoon
vanilla extract
Warm the
oven to 350°F and prepare a rimmed baking sheet with foil.
Grease the
foil lightly with butter and line the baking sheet with graham crackers,
breaking them as needed to fit.
In a medium
saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter, brown sugar, pecans, and salt.
Bring to a boil and continue to whisk for 2 minutes.
Remove from
the heat and mix in the vanilla extract. Pour the heated mixture over graham
crackers and distribute with a spatula to the sides of the pan. Make sure the
pecans are equally spread and that the crackers are completely coated.
Bake for 10
minutes, or until bubbling.
Allow cooling
fully before slicing.
