Butter Biscuits

 



With only 6 ingredients, you can make a mouthwatering fluffy biscuit bathing in a single stick of butter. You can serve them for breakfast, or as your bread serving with a meal.

 

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 TBS baking powder

1 TBS white granulated sugar

1/8 tsp salt

1 stick (butter, melted

1 1/2 cups buttermilk

 

Prepare the oven to 450°F.

Distribute and evenly spread melted butter in an 8 x 11 baking dish. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large mixing basin.

Gradually pour in the buttermilk till everything is properly mixed. The dough will be a little moist.

To create buttermilk, combine 1 tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice in a big 2-cup measuring cup. Fill the measuring cup halfway with normal milk. Allow to settle for five minutes after stirring.

Drop the dough over the butter and spread it to the dish's borders. Cut lines in the dough with a bread knife to form Twelve biscuits.

twenty to twenty-five minutes, till golden brown. Serve!

Italian salad

 



Italian salad, made of lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, olives, croutons, & a flavorful dressing, is one of the simplest and greatest salads available.

 

1/2 day-old loaf pane di casa

Olive oil spray

1/4 cup finely grated parmesan

2 baby lettuce, leaves roughly torn

red and yellow grape tomatoes, halved

1 red capsicum, cut into thin strips

1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced

marinated mixed pitted olives

 

Dressing

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

2 tbsp red wine vinegar

2 garlic cloves, peeled, flattened

1/2 tsp dried oregano

 

Season the ingredients in a screw-top jar to make the dressing. Close the lid firmly and shake vigorously to mix. Set aside to allow flavors to emerge. In the meantime, preheat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees Celsius/160 degrees Celsius fan-forced. Grease a large baking tray lightly. Place bread in 2-3cm slices on the prepared tray. Cook for ten minutes after spraying with oil. Remove from the oven and press the bread pieces together. Parmesan cheese, evenly distributed. Cook for five to ten minutes more, till crisp and golden. Place aside to cool. In a large mixing basin, combine the lettuce, tomato, capsicum, and onion. Toss with 1/4 cup of the dressing (discard garlic cloves) to mix. Serve on a large serving dish. Drizzle the remaining dressing over the salad & serve shortly.

Sausage and Herb Stuffing

 



You must try this delicious stuffing with your Thanksgiving dinner. But not only there, it is wonderful for an everyday dinner.

 

16 cups 1-inch bread cubes, white or sourdough (1 1/2 pound loaf)

8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter

2 cups medium-diced yellow onion (2 onions)

1 cup medium-diced celery (2 stalks)

2 Granny Smith apples, unpeeled, cored and large-diced

2 tablespoons chopped flat-leaf parsley

1 tablespoon kosher salt

1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

3/4 pound sweet or spicy Italian sausage, casings removed

 

Heat the oven to three hundred degrees Fahrenheit.

Bake for seven minutes at a time in a single layer of bread cubes on a sheet pan. Increase the oven temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit Transfer the bread cubes to a large mixing basin.

In the meantime, heat the butter in a large saute pan and add the onions, celery, apples, parsley, salt, and pepper. Cook for ten minutes over medium heat, or until the veggies are softened. Combine with the bread cubes. Cook the sausage in the same saute pan for about ten minutes, until it's browned & cooked through, breaking it up with a fork as it cooks. Combine with the bread cubes and veggies.

Pour the mixture into a 9-by-12-inch baking dish and top with the chicken stock and cranberries. Cook for thirty minutes at a time or until the top is browned and the center is heated. Served warm.
