Little's Cuisine Product Review
From Little's Cuisine,
located in New
Canaan , CT , I received some great seasoning blends, that I will
used from breakfast to dinner.
The passion for cooking
started in 1980, in a Midwestern Kitchen, to present day. The passion is still
there, and you can taste it in these seasoning blends. Angela, still continues
today, making pure artisan seasonings, that brings out so many flavors in your
recipes. Little's Cuisine only uses the best pure ingredients in everything
they create. You will not find any fillers, flours or anything artificial. Your
dish's will taste like a five star restaurant, made in your very own kitchen.
The seasoning blends and
mix's are free from MSG, gluten free, kosher, and non Gmo. On the back of each
box is a recipe if you would like to follow that exception, but I took it out
of the box, as far as incorporating them to just the opposite of a dish. Every
bite of your food that you create with these products, let's you savor the
details, that went into creating them.
I started my day using these
artisan blends and mix's for a breakfast feast. The first thing I made was, breakfast
steak burrito's with Street Taco Mix, a product from Little's Cuisine. The mix
was the Carne Asada Steak mix, which I coated the steak for my burrito's with. The
mix really brings out the robust flavor of the steak. With real natural
ingredients such as, Dehydrated Onion and Garlic, Spices , Ancho Chile,
Gualjillo Chile Peppers, Cumin, Salt, Dehydrated Jalapeno, Paprika, Safflower
Oil. The paprika gives the steak a stunning color, and the other ingredients
boost the flavor of the steak. A mix blend that gives you true authentic
Southwestern taste. It is a perfect seasoning blend, with the perfect spice
meld. There's a nice heat taste from the peppers, that works for this mix.
Also for breakfast I made a
skillet of Shirred eggs with spinach, and all the flavors came from Little's
Cuisine Sloppy Joe Seasonings. This just goes to show you, how good these
blends are, that they can be incorporated into many recipes. Now my dish was
fantastic, so I'm positive if sloppy Joe's were made, they would be mouth
watering. The ingredients that brought so much flavor are, high-quality Chili
Pepper, Cumin, Black Pepper, Red Pepper, Oregano. A nice sweet heat blend, that
again brings out the great flavors of the foods used.
With some steak left over
from breakfast, I made lunch using Little's Cuisine, Chili Lime Seasoning, and
made some skirt steak taco's. Yes, we had a Spanish fiesta. This
seasoning blend from Little's Cuisine, is so versatile, and great for many
foods. Coat some potatoes, add some to soups, or even make a dip with it. The
ingredients are another blend of Southwestern flavors made up of, Spices, Chili
Pepper, Cumin, Black Pepper, Red Pepper, Oregano, Salt, Dehydrated Garlic, Lime
Oil. The blend is amazing, a little smoky flavor profile with a hint of heat. A
great way to make your food talk to your palate.
I was really excited for
dinner, so far my dish's were a great hit!
Since the day was such a hit, I
thought why not start the dinner with a nice fish taco, with mango, and for
flavor use the Street Taco Mix, Baja Fish. Now it may not be the popular Baja Fish street tacos, but it was the next best thing. The flavor was
authentic, and bursting from the great ingredients of, Spices, Cumin, Oregano, Coriander,
Cinnamon, Red Pepper, Dehydrated Onion and Garlic, Salt, Rice Starch, Lime Oil.
The cinnamon in this blend with the mangos was such a exquisite taste, then the
little kick from the red pepper, and the smoky taste from the cumin. A lot going
on in one mix, that gives your food a sophisticated flair.
Keeping the theme going, I
grilled some corn on the cob and used the Street Taco Mix, Cascabel Chicken.
This just goes to show you, how versatile these blends and seasoning mix's are.
Now mind you that Cascabel Chicken, is usually a street taco, but this
seasoning mix was lip smacking on the corn on the cob, grilled. The ingredients
did all that, which included, Spices, Cumin, Cascabel Chile , Red Pepper, Oregano, Paprika, Salt, Dehydrated
Jalapeno, Rice Starch, Dehydrated Garlic, Safflower Oil. Now if you don't know
what a Cascabel Chile is, it is a chile that is becoming pretty popular. They
are small and round and almost look like a cherry. And once dried, the Cascabel
Chile has a rattle to it from the dancing seeds. So for the dish the chile brought
a mild heat, with a flavor profile of nutty, and earthy, and on the corn on the
cob being grilled it was a perfect pairing. The last heat taste came from the
Jalapeno, but nothing that lingered forever. When a dish disappears fast, as
this corn did, you know it was good!
Now you can't have Spanish
food without rice, so for the rice I used Little's Cuisine Chili Seasoning.
Again it paired beautifully together. This is Little's Cuisine, original
seasoning mix, that was award winning. You have ingredients such as, Spices, Chili
Pepper, Cumin, Black Pepper, Red Pepper, Oregano, Salt, Dehydrated Garlic. I
got a nice Spanish flavored rice, just from this seasoning mix. It had a nice
smoky, taste, with a nice kick from the red pepper. I'm sure in the cold
months, this is the perfect seasoning for a bowl of chili, but it would be
great on other foods as well, like a burger with jack cheese, or even some taco
meats.
Now I must tell you, for all
my dish's, I did not use any other flavorings, just the products from Little's Cuisine, that's all I needed!
If you want to cook like a
professional chef, with great tasting food, head over to where you can grab,
these full of flavor seasoning blends.

PickleSmash Product Review
My products that I used today
in my dinner, are from the company PickleSmash.
The company started from a
love story, to running out of relish, to a recipe that would become a big hit. The
product, pickle salsa, and it's my first time ever trying a salsa like this.
But after I did, it was plain to see, that Liz and Brain, really did create
something special.
Now if you have never tried pickle salsa like me, I must tell you, try it. You will not believe how tasteful it
is. And you are not going to believe, that there was no tomatoes used. It's
made with pickles, a new type of salsa that you can add to your condiment
collection. The other great thing is, that it's zero carbs, and zero fat and
zero sugar, and still full of delectable taste. It's also gluten free, keto,
paleo, vegan, and vegetarian. Made from tangy dill pickles and a blend of
special spices, this is the new wave salsa of the future! The stunning red
color is from Annatto, and that gives you the illusion, it has tomato's, but
that's just not true! Any place you would use other salsa's, you will now use
this PickleSmash. After tasting it I can also taste why it won first place at
the Austin Chronicle Hot sauce Festival. And after you taste it, you will see
why as well. The PickleSmash is not just a salsa, it can be a alternative
condiment as a salad topping, a dressing, or better yet a marinade.
So my family wanted to see
how this PickleSmash salsa would stand up to a Spanish meal. Although, Italian,
this house loves their heat, and their Spanish dish's. So let me tell, you,
twice this week, that’s what was for dinner!
The first dish I made was
some Mexican corn soup, and used the entire jar of the PickleSmash, hot into
the soup. Now you may be thinking that was a big risk, well, it wasn't. That
jar of PickleSmash, that I just emptied into my Mexican corn soup, gave the
entire soup all the flavor it needed. This is because of the wonderful blend of
spices in the jar, and that annatto, that gave it that rich deep red color.
Also the blend is just perfect as well, so you still get some nice bits of the
tangy pickles to bite into. No salt or pepper was needed, either, no other
seasonings, just the jar of PickleSmash "HOT "!
The ingredients in the jar
contains, Cucumbers, onions, jalapeno peppers, garlic, vinegar, water, salt,
spices, annatto, for color, monosodium glutamate, xanthan gum, natural flavors.
Now you could eat this out of the jar with some type of chips, but why!
Especially when, you can top a burger, add it to soup as I did, and so much
more. Remember, its your new condiment, so get creative! If heat is your thing,
then this PickleSmash salsa is for you, it’s a going back in for more type of
salsa.
A few family members wanted
some tacos, so with some left over skirt steak that I had from earlier this
week, I made some Carne Asada Steak Tacos, and for the condiment, what else,
PickleSmash salsa, "medium". This time the PickleSmash, was a true
condiment, and was used as the topping for the tacos, this gave us the chance
to really taste it right from the jar. If you are a salsa lover, you are really
going to be surprised how great these PickleSmash salsa's taste. The medium is
just perfect, and pleasant on the palate, not anything to make you tear up
about. You get a nice tang from the pickles, then your Southwestern taste from
the spices, and the stunning color from that spice called Annatto! It's a nice
blend, not runny, and not overly chunky. This is not what you might think a
salsa if made of, but don't judge it by its name, it's fantastic. The
ingredients that make up this PickleSmash salsa is, Cucumbers, onions, jalapeno
peppers, garlic, vinegar, water, salt spices, annatto, for color, monosodium
glutamate, xanthan gum, natural flavors.
There were two of us who
wanted a nice taco bowl, and that's what I made. And for that I used the
PickleSmash salsa, "mild". It was kid friendly, and kid approved!
Again we used it as a condiment so we could get the true taste of the luscious
flavors the salsa had. It is not salty at all from the pickles, just a perfect
blend of spices, that are beautifully married. If you love pickles, and you
love salsa, there is no way you will not love this PickleSmash salsa. The
ingredients are, Cucumbers, onions, garlic, vinegar, water, salt, spices,
annatto, for color, monosodium glutamate, xanthan gum, natural flavors. And
that is all the flavor you need when adding it to your recipes.
PickleSmash salsa goes to
show you, you don't need tomato's to have a great salsa!
If you want to try some for
yourself, you can find PickleSmash, online, on Amazon, or on Faire.
Give it a try, it really is
Pickle-lious!

NutFrusion Snack Review
The company came to be when
one man's journey took a turn that changed his life, after finding out he had
the devastating diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. His name is Tahnohn, and out
of everything that he had to over come, he started this business, out of limitations
of what he, himself could eat. With nothing to snack on, he searched until he
found a passion, of what is now NutFrusion. Savory ingredients, and tasteful
flavors, of hand selected fresh fruits and nuts, that has now brought him satisfying
snacks he can eat. And now so can you!
What NutFrusion snacks are,
are snacks for life. From one's passionate determination, to take back his own
life, to providing his crafted Frusions to our homes.
The first delicious bag, from
NutFrusion was the, Kraisinberry Frusion. This is a trail mix blend that is one
hundred percent made with all natural ingredients. There is no artificial
anything in any of the snacks from NutFrusion. They are non gmo, gluten free,
and have no preservatives. The Kraisinberry Frusion has some yummy nuts, and
yummy dried fruits, that combined make a luscious trail blend. Every bite you
take you can savor the flavor. And it's a wonderful guilt free snack, loaded
with many healthy benefits. This bag is loaded with, roasted pecans, almonds,
and walnuts combined with cranberries, blueberries, strawberries, and cherries.
With the Kraisinberry Frusion from, NutFrusion, I made some yummy muffins, with
the incorporation of the trail mix blend. They gave the muffins a amazing
texture and taste.
Every snack from NutFrusion
gives you protein, and nutrients, from nuts and dried fruits. They bring you a
true simple snacking guilt free pleasure, that you feel good eating, and giving
to your family. They make a smart choice for a grab and go snack, a lunch
snack, or a eat between meal snack. Eat them straight from the bag, or
incorporate them in some of your favorite recipes. Use them in muffins, top
salads, or in some vanilla yogurt.
The next bag from NutFrusion,
was their Passion Frusion trail mix blend, made up of the great all natural
ingredients like, sweet and chewy Kiwi, Mango and Strawberries combined with
the crunchy, roasted, nutty flavor of pecans, almonds, walnuts, and cashews.
Loved this straight out of the bag, but would definitely later on incorporate
it into some cereal, or other recipe. It is a scrumptious snack, that once you
dig into you don't want to stop. The meld of the dried fruits and nuts are in
perfect harmony. They are lip smacking good! The flavor profile just burst, in
your mouth. And a great trail mix blend, that has great immune boosting
nutrients, and loaded with vitamin C. A better snack choice then those filled
with salt, and filled with preservatives, and artificial colors.
Next, from NutFrusion, was a
bag of Sweet Apple Pecan, trail mix blend. Filled with so many wonderful nuts
and dried fruits such as, roasted pecans, walnuts, and almonds with NutFrusion,
signature zesty vanilla glaze and freshly dried Granny Smith apples. Who
doesn't like Granny Smith apples, they are so great for pies, but I used the
blend for another addition in some muffins. The texture that the trail mix blend
brings is delectable. You can also add this blend into a smoothie, or top some
vanilla ice cream, the ideas are endless. It is a nutty, sweet blend, with a
little tart from the Granny Smith apples. A true heavenly blend.
The last bag from NutFrusion,
was some dried Mango Chips. Nice thin cuts of dried Mangos, that sill held a
sweet taste to them. You can eat them from the bag, and they are delicious. But
you can also soak them in water and they are still yummy. Add them to a juice
blend, or top some yogurt. You can also use these yummy Mango chips from,
NutFrusion, to some chutneys, or compotes, or even a baked cake. Again the
ideas are endless, and up to your own creativity.
If you are not a dried fruit
and nut fan, you will be after you try these mixes from NutFrusion. The company
also offers subscription boxes, so you never run out!
