Tennessee Peanut Co. Product Review

I am happy to share with you today, some peanut products I received from the company, Tennessee Peanut Co.

Tennessee Peanut Company's spirit harkens back to a simpler period when less was more. They no longer aim to go ahead of people, but rather bring them together, much like the culture of small towns of the past, when importance was put on people over things, community over commodities, and friendships over celebrity.

Tennessee Peanut Company strives to honor the history and craftsmanship in Southern made products. And every bite of their peanuts, well let's just say they perfected the Southern craft just fine.

You can get, Tennessee peanuts in their tin cans, bags, and even get general mercantile. There is some yummy flavors to choose from in the peanut department. But Tennessee Peanut Company offers other treats as well.

Now you can eat these treasures out of the can, or you can use them in a recipe of your liking. No matter how you eat them, they are delicious.

My first can from the, Tennessee Peanut Co. was their sea salt and cracked pepper peanuts. These peanuts are great with a ice cold drink, even a nice cold brew. They are perfectly salted with sea salt and a delicious pepper that has a nice zip to it. The peanuts are Virginia style, nice sized, with a nice full bodied flavor, and a nice crunch. They truly fill you up, so as a snack between meals is great to choose them. Even though they are seasoned with salt and pepper, it does not over power your palate. It has been done so in the most perfect way. They are a yummy choice for a movie night, or leave out in the can, for a table snack. Friends and family will just love the flavor.

The next can from, Tennessee Peanut Company, was their traditional salty roasted peanuts. Not only did I eat some out of the can, but made some peanut butter crunch cookies with them.

Peanut Butter Crunch Cookies

Ingredients

½ cup butter

½ cup peanut butter

½ cup white sugar

½ cup brown sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

1 ¼ cups flour

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

1/2 cup Rice Krispies cereal

1/2 cup Tennessee Peanut Company salty roasted peanuts, + another 11/2 cup for rolling the cookies

Instructions

Mix together the butter, peanut butter, white sugar, and brown sugar.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until completely combined. Sift the flour, baking soda, and salt together. Fold into the creamed mixture until a dough forms. Combine the cereal and peanuts in a mixing bowl. Make 1 1/2 inch balls and roll one half of each ball in more peanuts. Place the dough balls, peanuts side up, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, 2 to 3 inches apart. Refrigerate for 30 to 60 minutes. Before putting the dough in the oven, it should be well refrigerated. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake for 13-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Overbaking will result in brittle cookies. This recipe yields around 12 cafe style big cookies.

The, Tennessee traditional roasted peanuts are so yummy. Again the roasted peanuts have the perfect balance of salt. They are also a true roasted Virginia peanut that is well known in the South. You won't be disappointed in the size and flavor of these peanuts.
