Pie Crust Cinnamon and Sugar Cookies

 


This holiday cookie that will take you back to your childhood. Classic flavors and a light flakey crust make the Pie Crust Cinnamon and Sugar Cookies a classic.

 

Ingredients

2 Pie Crusts Refrigerated

1/4 Cup Melted Butter

1 Cup Sugar

2 Tbs Cinnamon

Powdered Sugar Garnish

 

Instructions

Heat the oven to 400°F.

Roll down the refrigerated pie crust onto a lightly floured board and roll it into a square using a rolling pin. You don't have to push too hard; instead, start in the middle and work your way outwards to get a more square form.

Melted butter should be brushed over the pie crust.

Combine cinnamon and sugar in a mixing basin.

Apply the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the pie crust. Cover all the way around.

Roll the pie crust firmly and seal the ends with melted butter, pinching to shut.

Log roll should be sliced. The slices should be 1/2-3/4in thick. Per pie crust, you should receive 12-14 cookies. Place on a baking sheet. Because these cookies do not spread as much as regular cookies, you can fit a lot on a cookie sheet.

9-12 minutes in the oven Alternatively, cook till golden brown. Leave to cool after removing from the oven. Sprinkle with powdered sugar (optional)

Keystone Farms Cheese Review

 


From the heart of Wisconsin, I got two unique flavored cheese's that are a first taste for my family and I.




The company is, Keystone Farms Cheese, and they really know what they are doing, when it comes to cheese and flavors.




It all started many years ago, when the owners dad moved to Wisconsin to buy an original homestead from 1873 and start a dairy farm. On one of her many visits, they were discussing the difference between Wisconsin cheese & other cheeses, and what a difference there is! She decided to bring the delicious taste of Wisconsin back for my friends & family to enjoy. People really seemed to relish the cheese and so, in the most organic way possible, Keystone Farms Cheese was born.

 



The cheese may be crafted in Wisconsin, but its distributed in PA. This is where partnerships with world class cheesmakers in Southern and Northeastern Wisconsin can show off their crafted cheeses.




Keystone Farms Cheese, is made from one hundred percent, Wisconsin cows milk, and has no preservatives of any kind, nor any artificial flavors or colors, and better yet no added hormones.




The cheese is hand crafted in the Swiss German traditions, and made in small batches to ensure freshness and quality. Only the finest ingredients are used, and you taste the love in every bite of their cheese.




KeystoneFarms Cheese, has some really unique combinations, and I get to tell you all about the two I received today, and what I made.





The first block of cheese sent over from, Keystone Farms Cheese, was their cinnamon apple cheddar. This was a first for my family and I. And the first thing that came to mind, was a nice fall lunch with sweet potatoes. So I made a nice sweet potato casserole, with fresh apple slices, and caramelized onions, all topped with, Keystone Farms Cheese, cinnamon apple cheddar. I can see why this is a favorite among buyers. It is fantastic! You get a nice mild yellow cheese that has real, yes real apple chunks in it, and cinnamon all through it as well. It has a nice mild flavor and paired with the sweet potatoes it was a culinary heavenly dish. You can add this to your fruit and cheese board, pair it with you favorite wine, or slice some to just eat. The ideas are endless. But one thing is for sure, you won't be disappointed. This, Keystone Farms Cheese flavor is a cheese lovers dream come true!





The next block sent over from, Keystone Farms Cheese, was their morel and leek jack. Another flavor my family nor I have ever tasted.

 

MOREL & LEEK JACK IN PUFF PASTRY

 

INGREDIENTS

1 block of Keystone Farms Cheese

Morel & Leek Jack cheese

1 Sheet prepared puff pastry, thawed according to package directions

1 egg white

1 Package (8 oz.) fresh mushrooms, sliced

1/2 medium onion, sliced

2 Tablespoon butter

Salt and pepper, to taste

 

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 ° degrees Fahrenheit. Wrap the puff pastry sheet around a block of, Keystone Farms Cheese, flavor,  Morel & Leek Jack cheese. Seal carefully and set seam-side down in a pie plate. Make two little incisions in the pastry's top. Brush with beaten egg white. Cook for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Cook the mushrooms and onion in the butter while the cheese puff bakes. Adjust the seasoning to taste. Take the cheese puff out of the oven. Spread the mushroom-onion mixture on top. Served, with crackers right away.




The morel and leek jack is so dreamy, creamy, and a little tart. A unique taste that is a culinary delight on your palate. The Monterey jack really brings a nice earthy flavor profile to the cheese. Then the flavors of morel mushrooms and leeks kick in. Pairing these ingredients all together was a cheese lovers dream come true as well. It is a very highly versatile cheese, that can pair with many recipes. From one in a puff pastry, sliced on a cheese board, or used in a nice soup recipe. However you decide to use it, it will surely be enjoyed. The, Keystone Farms Cheese, products surely are gourmet. And after one bite of any flavor, you will be sure to agree!

Foods! Never Put In The Refrigerator

 


Deadly germs are hiding everywhere in your kitchen, and the way you store your food may be putting your loved ones at risk. Since certain products must constantly be refrigerated, others should be kept out of the fridge at all times or risk being damaged and non - edible. Do you know what to put where? Each food has its own set of guidelines for how it should be handled and stored. Learn how to protect yourself and your family while also keeping your food fresher, longer, and healthier.




Avocados can be hard to manage correctly. Refrigerating them halts the ripening process, just never keep them refrigerated. Simply keep your avocados at room temperature on the countertop. Because they're already ripe, use them right away.


Nothing beats the taste of a freshly baked doughnut. If you bought to many, what do you do with the rest?  To begin with, that seems like an incredible issue. Second, don't be concerned, and whatever you do, don't put them in the refrigerator. Baked potatoes covered in aluminum foil must never be left out at room temperature because they might develop fatal botulinum strains.




Many people believe that unopened canned tuna should be stored in the refrigerator, however this is not the case. Sure, it is fish, but it comes in a can from the grocery store's unrefrigerated department for a reason. Maintain your tuna cans at room temperature in the cupboard or closet. After you've opened the can, place it in the refrigerator. Simply place the tuna in a sealed container (not the tin can!) and it will last for three to four days.




Garlic bulbs should be kept in a cold, dry area, such as your pantry. Store them in a well-ventilated container. If you store them in an airtight container, they will mold very quickly. Garlic may be kept fresh for months if properly stored. Once the head of the garlic clove has been broken, you should utilize all of the cloves within 10 days. Garlic is a nutrient, so be sure you keep it fresh for as long as possible to minimize waste.




This one is going to be a little more contentious. However, butter may be stored at room temperature. And after you try it, you'll see what I mean. Butter spreads like heaven on earth when it's room temperature. What person wouldn't desire that? Always store your butter covered and in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Butter is pasteurized and salted to protect it from spoiling. You should also consider your local climate. If you reside in a very hot environment, you may be unable to store it outside of the refrigerator.




Whenever you buy pickles in the refrigerated area of the grocery store, keep them in the fridge at home. However, due to their ingredients, most pickles do not need to be refrigerated. Pickle jars' high salt and vinegar content is powerful enough to keep dangerous germs and microorganisms at bay. Pickling is a way of preserving food, therefore your pickles should keep for a long time.




Berries may be difficult to preserve, and if done incorrectly, they will mildew and become mushy rapidly. Berries should not be refrigerated unless they are going to be used immediately. At room temperature, they stay juicy and firm. Rinse the berries just right before using them; else, they will mold. When you rinse them, use a colander. Do not immerse those priceless berries in water. You may keep them in the fridge for extended periods of time if they are not in an airtight container. Many individuals do this, and many claim that it tastes better at room temperature. If you reside in a very hot environment, you should store your ketchup bottle in the fridge after opening. Alternatively, if you rarely use it, the fridge will extend its life.

Mustard is yet another condiment that most people throw in the fridge without giving it a second thought. However, there is no need to. Because mustard, like ketchup, has a high acidity level, it is extremely self-preserving. Have you ever seen a restaurant keep their mustard refrigerated? No. You, too, do not. It all comes down to personal preference. Some individuals love their mustard at room temperature, while others prefer it cold. Make an informed decision.



 

It's not a good idea to store bread in the refrigerator. It will significantly dry out your bread and cause it to become stale soon. It's better to leave bread out and at room temperature. Pre-sliced bread should last up to a week. Simply make certain that the packaging is firmly packed up after use. If you find yourself with an excess of bread, you can simply freeze it and reheat it later. You'll always have bread on hand and won't have to worry about it spoiling.




This is often misunderstood, but the judgment is in: You don't need to store jam in the fridge, even after you've opened it. That's because jam contains sugar, a natural preservative that keeps it from deteriorating rapidly if the lid is firmly shut and it's kept in a cold, dry location like a cabinet or pantry. However, jam enthusiasts across the country prefer to do so — especially if the jam has residuals from use, such as bread crumbs. Many jam jars advocate refrigerating after opening to retain flavor, so this is a personal preference.




"Cheese products" such as Velveeta or Cheese Whiz do not have to be refrigerated, hence why you'll find them in grocery store aisles. Cheese products are not made from actual cheese and are intended to be shelf stable. Although it is suggested to store it in the refrigerator once it has been opened, it is not required. They are frequently composed with dried cheese powder and oil, neither of which has to be refrigerated. The verdict is still out on whether it qualifies as cheese, but we adore it for what it is.
