Jensen Toffee Co. Review

Since having my culinary blog, I have learned so much about companies. And I just love those that don't count on big companies to sell their products, but word of mouth. Jensen Toffee Company is a perfect example. They are a small batch company that is women-owned and hand-makes their mouth-watering Toffee.

I am honored today to tell you how delicious this product is, that Jensen Toffee Company has sent!

Toni and Francesca are a mother-daughter-in-law partnership in the Seattle region that specializes in gourmet toffee. Toni's technique has been mastered and loved for over 40 years, and they have now teamed together to share this delectableness with the rest of the world. Each batch is handcrafted using high-quality ingredients and a secret process that offers unrivaled taste and crunch.

The pretty box from Jensen Toffee Company is ready for gift giving. Right through the plastic box that is wrapped in a pretty black bow, you see the dark chocolate almond toffee. At that point, your mouth just starts to water, and your excited to taste it. The toffee is a family recipe and when you taste it, you taste the love that went into the handmaking process.

The outside has an abundance of toffee, chocolate, and almonds, they did not skimp at all. When you take your first bite you get all of the buttery flavor and a wonderful crunch of the topping. Then on your palate, you taste a hint of cocoa. The chocolate for Jensen Toffee Company is a delicious semi-sweet dark, that is so delicious.

Jensen Toffee Company has perfected a unique technique for sure making their handcrafted confection. Tasting, the toffee you realize all the ingredients are of the finest. Jensen Toffee truly delivers a mouthwatering confection.

If your interested in any of their products, you will find them online or on Faire. Their toffee is nectar to your palate, and would also make a wonderful gift for a friend or loved one. The toffee would also make a wonderful addition to a buffet table as a nice treat!

Hellfire Zombie Snot hot sauce review

Hellfire Hot Sauce is well-known around the world for its scorching hot and incredibly flavorful hot sauces. They always utilize the best ingredients and get their spicy peppers and chiles from small local growers. Their plant-based spicy sauces are the best on the market! They go to great lengths to provide you the world's finest and greatest spicy sauces!

Diana, The Sauceress, and Merle The Chilimaster are the brains behind these amazing hot sauces. Each one is designed to provide extreme heat and flavor that hot sauce lovers come back for again and again.

Chilimaster grows the peppers and uses other all-natural ingredients in every product. Also in the ingredients, you will find mangoes, pineapples, and other exotic fruits. Even chocolate! Some of the heat in the hot sauce from, Hellfire comes from Bhut Jolokia, and Trinidad Scorpion, and Carolina Reapers.

Tonight's dinner included the bottle I received from Hellfire, their Zombie Snot. The best hot sauce, that has ever happened to food. There's, even more, to relish when you match this rich, savory, and spicy taste profile with your favorite foods. Tacos, burritos, eggs, pizza, hot wings, spaghetti, burgers, fried chicken, chili, french fries, popcorn, or even ice cream are guaranteed to satisfy your palate! Hellfire Hot Sauces may be used to make the best guacamole ever made! Hellfire Hot Sauces are produced with the best ingredients and the world's strongest peppers. I included Zombie Snot in a Mexican Pozole for my dinner, and it added all the heat I needed. The flavor married well with the Pozole, it was just like salsa verde, with some heat. It is a party in your mouth with each bite you take. On your palate, you get an insanely fresh taste, and then the heat from the Carolina reaper. Also, there are the granny smith apples in the ingredients for the fruity sweetness. It also has a nice hint of habanero peppers as well. Although it says it's on the mild side, it still gives your mouth a punch.

Ingredients

 8 cups flavorful chicken stock

 1 tsp kosher salt

1 tablespoon coriander

1 tablespoon dried Mexican oregano

1 tablespoon dried Epazote

2 teaspoons ground  cumin

1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 lb tomatillos, husked and halved

 1 large onion, rough chopped

3 medium poblano chilies, seeded and sliced

 1 jalapeno, seeded and halved

 6-8 large garlic cloves

1/4 cup of hellfire zombie snot hot sauce for extra heat

1 T olive oil

4 cups cooked hominy can use canned

 1 whole bunch of cilantro

Directions

the chicken: Bring the chicken stock, salt, coriander, cumin, oregano, epazote, cumin, and pepper to a boil in a big heavy-bottomed pot. Cover and cook over low heat for 25 minutes, or until the chicken breasts are soft and cooked thoroughly. Move the chicken breasts to a dish and shred the chicken, then skim the liquid and return the chicken to the broth. To make the Verde Sauce, combine one cup of water in a blender. Tomatillos, onion, garlic, poblanos, and jalapeƱo garlic are all good additions. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat, then add the tomatillo puree and simmer, turning regularly, until the sauce turns a deep green, about 10 minutes. Set aside 1 cup of broth from the chicken soup pot in the blender. Also, add your 1/4 cup of hellfire zombie snot hot sauce. Fill the chicken soup pot halfway with the prepared Verde sauce. Put the 3 cups of hominy (reserving 1 cup) to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Combine the cilantro and tender stems with the chicken stock in a blender, covered securely with a kitchen towel, until smooth. 1 cup reserved hominy should be added now. Blend until smooth once more. If you still need extra liquid to start the blender, simply ladle from the saucepan. Pour this into the soup. Start serving the Pozole in bowls with sour cream and any or all of the sides, allowing guests to add their own toppings.

If you would love to try any of the hot sauce products from, Hellfire, you can grab a bottle online or on Amazon.
