your mouth with each bite you take. On your palate, you get an insanely fresh
taste, and then the heat from the
8 cups flavorful chicken stock
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tablespoon
coriander
1 tablespoon dried
Mexican oregano
1 tablespoon dried
Epazote
2 teaspoons
ground cumin
1 teaspoon freshly
ground black pepper
2 lbs boneless,
skinless chicken breasts
1 lb tomatillos,
husked and halved
1 large onion, rough chopped
3 medium poblano chilies, seeded and sliced
1 jalapeno, seeded and halved
6-8 large garlic cloves
1/4 cup of hellfire
zombie snot hot sauce for extra heat
1 T olive oil
4 cups cooked hominy can use canned
1 whole bunch of cilantro
Directions
the chicken: Bring
the chicken stock, salt, coriander, cumin, oregano, epazote, cumin, and pepper
to a boil in a big heavy-bottomed pot. Cover and cook over low heat for 25
minutes, or until the chicken breasts are soft and cooked thoroughly. Move the
chicken breasts to a dish and shred the chicken, then skim the liquid and
return the chicken to the broth. To make the Verde Sauce, combine one cup of
water in a blender. Tomatillos, onion, garlic, poblanos, and jalapeƱo garlic
are all good additions. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat, then add the tomatillo puree and
simmer, turning regularly, until the sauce turns a deep green, about 10
minutes. Set aside 1 cup of broth from the chicken soup pot in the blender.
Also, add your 1/4 cup of hellfire zombie snot hot sauce. Fill the chicken soup
pot halfway with the prepared Verde sauce. Put the 3 cups of hominy (reserving
1 cup) to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Combine the cilantro and tender
stems with the chicken stock in a blender, covered securely with a kitchen towel,
until smooth. 1 cup reserved hominy should be added now. Blend until smooth
once more. If you still need extra liquid to start the blender, simply ladle
from the saucepan. Pour this into the soup. Start serving the Pozole in bowls
with sour cream and any or all of the sides, allowing guests to add their own
toppings.
