A very easy-to-make rice that is a beautiful side dish, or even a main dish. Either way, you will enjoy it.
1 cup rice
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
Pinch of salt
2 whole cardamom
2 cinnamon sticks
3 cloves
Handful of raisins
½ cup ghee
½ cup sugar
1 cup boiling water
Cook the rice with the turmeric and salt until done, then
set aside.
Melt ghee in a pot, add cardamom, cinnamon sticks,
cloves, and raisins, and braise for a few minutes on low heat.
Pour in the boiling water.
permit the syrup to boil until it becomes thick.
Cook for 10 minutes on medium heat with the boiled rice.
Almonds should be sprinkled on top.
