New York Strip Steak Frites with Rosemary Flake Salt

 


What could possibly go wrong with steak frites? For the ultimate mic drop, sprinkle with rosemary flake salt.

 

Ingredients

2 SERVINGS

1/2 pound russet potatoes (sliced into fries)

4 tablespoons olive oil (divided)

1 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1 pound New York strip steak (2 inches thick)

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon rosemary (chopped small, for the rosemary salt)

1 teaspoon flake salt (for the rosemary salt)

 

Preheat the oven to 450°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2 tablespoons olive oil for the fries Place the fries on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, or until crisp.

Meanwhile, mix the salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Then, using your fingers, massage the rub into all sides of the steak. Allow the steak to rest for 30 minutes on the counter.
