Fried bologna
Spray or heat a tiny quantity of oil in a
pan over medium-high heat. Prepare the meat while the pan is heating. You don't
need to remove the red tip if you got your bologna from a deli, but if you used
Bar S or Oscar Meyer, you will need to remove and discard the red edge. Spread
mayonnaise or mustard on the muffins, then cut any veggies you choose to
include. Because bologna cooks rapidly, it is essential to prepare it before
placing it in the skillet.
Toss the bologna into the pan after the red
border has been removed. Like any other sausage, it's sizzling. You will
quickly see that the center is emerging. When you observe that the bubble has
two X slits in the center. This will keep the meat from twisting while it cooks.
Fry the bologna for three minutes per side
on medium heat. - A perfectly charred slice of fried bologna with a caramel
flavor. When the bologna is done, remove it from the pan and place it on a
paper towel to absorb the oil.
