The slow-cooked Mongolian beef is made using flank steak, garlic, ginger, brown sugar, & soy sauce. The result of this slow cooker dish tastes just like a Chinese restaurant dinner!
With this simple Mongolian beef dish, you can make your takeout.
This dish is Incredibly easy to make.
1 1/2 pounds flank steak thinly sliced against the grain
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon minced ginger
1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup green onions cut into 1/2 inch pieces
Toss the flank steak in a basin with the cornstarch to give it an
even coat.
Fill the slow cooker halfway with flank steak.
In the slow cooker, combine the sesame oil, garlic, ginger, soy
sauce, brown sugar, and water. Mix the sauce into the meat to coat it.
Cook on HIGH for two to three hours or LOW for four to five
hours, covered.
Serve with the green onions stirred in.
