2 teaspoons fresh cracked
black pepper, divided
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 crumbled beef bouillon
cube, optional
1/3 cup low-sodium soy
sauce
1/2 cup melted butter (or
olive oil)
1 tablespoon hot sauce of
your choice
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon Italian flat
parsley, chopped
1 tablespoon curly parsley,
chopped
1/2 teaspoon red chili
pepper flakes
To create the Garlic Herb
Butter Steak in the Oven, follow these steps: Remove the steak from the
refrigerator for a minimum of one to two hours before cooking to allow it to
come to room temperature. Using paper towels, pat dry all over.
Preheat your oven to
500oF (260oC) broil setting. Season each side of the steak liberally with salt,
pepper, and a crushed bouillon cube. Arrange the steak on top of the crushed
garlic and onion pieces in the baking pan. The onions will be used to make a
roasting rack. Broil the steak for Five - to seven minutes on the top rack,
depending on thickness, then flip and broil for an additional five minutes.
Reduce the oven temperature
to 400oF (200oC) and broil the steak for ten to twelve minutes per side. Use an
instant-read thermometer to determine the internal temperature of the steak:
125oF (51oC) for medium-rare, 135oF (57oC) for medium. Transfer the steak from
the oven, tent with foil, and set aside for ten minutes. Meanwhile, combine soy
sauce, melted butter (or olive oil), hot sauce, garlic, parsley, one teaspoon of
pepper, and red chili pepper flakes in a mixing bowl.
Slice the meat with a sharp
knife, starting with the bone, and sprinkle the herb sauce on top before
serving. Garlic Herb Butter Steak should be served promptly.
