Ingredients:

 

6 ears of fresh corn on the cob

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

 

Prepare the Cajun Butter:  In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder.  Mix well to combine.

 

Cook the Corn:  There are a few ways to cook the corn on the cob. Here are three options:

 

Boiling: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the corn and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until tender.

Grilling: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Pull back the husks of the corn slightly, then brush the corn with melted butter or olive oil. Grill the corn for 5-7 minutes per side, or until tender and slightly charred.

Microwaving: Pull back the husks of the corn slightly, then place the corn in a microwave-safe dish with a splash of water. Microwave on high for 3-4 minutes, or until tender.

Serve:  Once the corn is cooked, spread the Cajun butter evenly over the corn cobs.  Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.

 

Tips:

 

For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the Cajun butter.

If you don't have fresh Cajun seasoning, you can substitute it with a blend of paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and black pepper.

If you don't have fresh corn on the cob, you can use frozen corn cobs. Thaw the corn cobs before cooking and follow the package instructions for cooking time.
