Aroma Ridge Coffee Roasters: Coffee, Cake & Delicious Flavors for Every Season

There is nothing quite like starting the day with a good cup of coffee. But when that coffee has an incredible aroma, a delicious flavor, and the ability to turn an ordinary morning into something special, that's when coffee becomes more than just a beverage.

Today on Momz Daily Scoops, I am excited to talk about Aroma Ridge Coffee Roasters, a family-owned coffee company based in Marietta, Georgia.

Aroma Ridge specializes in hand-selected coffee beans that are roasted in small batches. The company says it focuses on freshness, flavor, sustainability, and working directly with coffee farmers around the world. Aroma Ridge also roasts and imports Jamaica Blue Mountain® Coffee and produces Wicked Jack's Tavern® Jamaican rum cakes.

What really caught my attention is the variety. Aroma Ridge offers traditional coffees for people who love a classic cup, along with an extensive collection of flavored coffees for those of us who enjoy a little dessert-inspired fun in our mug.

And believe me, there are some seriously tempting flavors!

Coffee Made for Flavor Lovers

Aroma Ridge offers both whole-bean and ground coffee, along with single-serve options. Their flavored coffees are made with Arabica coffee and are available in a wide variety of combinations.

The company says its flavored coffees are roasted in small batches to help preserve their aroma and flavor. They can also be enjoyed hot, iced, or cold brewed.

That means there is something here for just about every coffee drinker.

Whether you like chocolate, caramel, nuts, fruit, spices, rum-inspired flavors, or holiday flavors, Aroma Ridge has created quite a collection.

Wicked Jack's Tavern® Rum Cake

Let's start with something that isn't actually coffee but goes beautifully with it — Wicked Jack's Tavern® Rum Cake.

Aroma Ridge produces Wicked Jack's Tavern® rum cakes, which are baked in the USA and soaked in Jamaican rum. The cakes are vacuum-packed to help preserve their flavor and freshness.

The Bourbon Rum Cake is a particularly interesting version.

It is a moist, buttery vanilla cake made with Jamaican rum and real Kentucky bourbon whiskey. According to Aroma Ridge, the bourbon version came from the legend of Ol' Gran experimenting with bourbon when rum shipments were delayed. The resulting cake was so flavorful that it became part of the tradition.

The Taste & Texture

This is the kind of cake that I would describe as wonderfully indulgent.

The texture is soft, moist, buttery, and tender, while the rum and bourbon bring warmth and depth to the vanilla cake.

It isn't a dry cake that needs a lot of frosting or toppings. The rum-soaked character gives it plenty of personality all on its own.

What Pairs With Wicked Jack's Rum Cake?

Of course, coffee is an obvious answer!

But I would also serve a slice with:

  • Vanilla ice cream

  • Whipped cream

  • Fresh berries

  • Caramel sauce

  • Pecans

  • Chocolate sauce

  • Fresh strawberries

  • A cup of dark or medium roast coffee

For an after-dinner dessert, a warm slice of rum cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a cup of coffee sounds absolutely wonderful.

Christmas Holly Coffee

Now let's bring on the Christmas spirit!

Christmas Holly Flavored Coffee combines the warm flavor of butterscotch toffee with a splash of rum. Aroma Ridge has included it among its holiday coffee offerings.

This is exactly the kind of coffee that makes me think about Christmas morning.

The aroma should immediately give you those warm, sweet holiday feelings, while the butterscotch and toffee flavors add a rich dessert-like quality.

The rum note gives it an extra layer of warmth without turning the cup into something overly complicated.

What Does Christmas Holly Taste Like?

I would expect the cup to have a smooth, sweet, buttery character, with the caramelized flavor of toffee followed by that subtle rum-inspired finish.

It is definitely a coffee I would want to enjoy while sitting next to the Christmas tree!

Christmas Holly Pairings

This coffee would be fantastic with:

Christmas cookies
Especially sugar cookies, shortbread, butter cookies, and chocolate chip cookies.

Pound cake
The buttery cake works beautifully with the butterscotch-toffee flavor.

Gingerbread
The warm spices and sweet coffee would complement each other.

Pecan pie
The nutty pecans and buttery sweetness would make a wonderful combination.

Rum cake
This may be one of my favorite pairing ideas. The rum notes in the coffee would complement the rum in the cake.

Cinnamon rolls
Imagine a warm cinnamon roll and a steaming cup of Christmas Holly. That's a Christmas breakfast I can get behind!

Caramel Crunch Coffee

If you have a sweet tooth, Caramel Crunch Flavored Coffee is definitely one to look at.

Aroma Ridge describes this coffee as sweet caramel with a hint of candied toffee. It is a medium roast made with 100% Arabica beans.

The name really tells you what to expect.

You get the sweetness of caramel followed by that delicious candy-like toffee character.

The Taste & Mouthfeel

The coffee itself should have the familiar body of a medium roast, while the flavoring adds a smooth, dessert-like quality.

The caramel gives it richness, while the candied toffee adds another layer of sweetness.

And because it is flavored coffee, you can get that dessert-inspired experience without adding sugar directly to the cup.

What Would I Pair With Caramel Crunch?

This coffee would be fantastic with:

  • Caramel cheesecake

  • Chocolate brownies

  • Chocolate chip cookies

  • Apple crisp

  • Cinnamon rolls

  • Donuts

  • Caramel popcorn

  • Banana bread

  • Butter cookies

  • Vanilla pound cake

I would especially love this one with a warm slice of apple pie.

The caramel and apple combination is just one of those flavors that works every time.

Bourbon Pecan Torte Coffee

Now we come to one of the coffees that really caught my attention—Bourbon Pecan Torte Flavored Coffee.

Aroma Ridge describes this as a medium-roast coffee made with 100% Arabica beans and flavored to capture the taste of sweet, caramelized, slow-roasted Southern pecans with Kentucky bourbon sauce.

That sounds like dessert in a coffee cup!

The Flavor

The first thing I think of with this coffee is pecan pie meets bourbon caramel.

The roasted pecan flavor should bring a warm, nutty quality, while the bourbon and caramel notes add richness and sweetness.

It is a coffee that I would especially reach for in the fall and winter.

What Pairs Well With Bourbon Pecan Torte Coffee?

This would be delicious alongside:

  • Pecan pie

  • Butter pecan cookies

  • Chocolate brownies

  • Carrot cake

  • Cheesecake

  • Apple pie

  • Cinnamon rolls

  • Vanilla ice cream

  • Chocolate cake

  • Banana bread

  • Pound cake

Aroma Ridge itself suggests pairing nutty coffees such as Bourbon Pecan Torte with cookies, pecan desserts, and butter rum cake.

And I have another idea for it...

Bourbon Pecan Torte Coffee Pound Cake

Why just drink your coffee when you can bake with it?

This is where I think Bourbon Pecan Torte Coffee can become really fun in the kitchen.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 cups granulated sugar

  • 4 large eggs

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • ½ cup strongly brewed Bourbon Pecan Torte Coffee, cooled

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ¾ cup chopped pecans

Bourbon Pecan Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 2 tablespoons strongly brewed Bourbon Pecan Torte Coffee

  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ¼ cup finely chopped pecans

Directions

Preheat your oven to 325°F.

Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.

Pour in the cooled Bourbon Pecan Torte Coffee and vanilla. Mix until everything is combined.

Fold in the chopped pecans.

Pour the batter into your prepared Bundt pan and smooth the top.

Bake for approximately 65–75 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before turning it onto a cooling rack.

Make the Glaze

Whisk together the powdered sugar, coffee, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.

Drizzle the glaze over the cooled pound cake.

Finish with chopped pecans.

How I Would Serve It

Oh my goodness!

I would serve a slice of this pound cake with a fresh cup of Bourbon Pecan Torte Coffee.

You could also add:

  • Vanilla ice cream

  • Whipped cream

  • Caramel sauce

  • Toasted pecans

  • A sprinkle of powdered sugar

For Thanksgiving or Christmas, this would make a beautiful dessert for the dessert table.

Coffee Isn't Just for Breakfast

One of the things I really enjoy about Aroma Ridge is how their flavored coffees can be incorporated into so many different occasions.

A cup of Bourbon Pecan Torte can become part of a fall dessert.

Christmas Holly can become part of a Christmas morning tradition.

Caramel Crunch can turn an ordinary afternoon coffee break into a little dessert moment.

And Wicked Jack's Tavern Rum Cake gives you a dessert that is practically begging to be served with coffee.

Aroma Ridge even offers coffee and cake combinations, making the pairing concept part of the company's product lineup.

My Momz Daily Scoops Thoughts

What I really enjoy about Aroma Ridge Coffee Roasters is the variety.

This isn't a company that only offers one kind of coffee. They have traditional specialty coffees, flavored coffees, holiday blends, single-serve options, Jamaica Blue Mountain® Coffee, and their Wicked Jack's Tavern® rum cakes.

And for someone like me who loves discovering products that can be enjoyed in different ways, the flavored coffees are especially fun.

You can drink them straight, add cream, make them iced, serve them alongside dessert, or even use strongly brewed coffee in baking.

The Caramel Crunch gives you sweet caramel and candied toffee.

Christmas Holly brings together warm butterscotch, toffee, and rum-inspired flavor for the holidays.

Bourbon Pecan Torte brings together roasted Southern pecans, caramel, and Kentucky bourbon-inspired flavor.

And then you have Wicked Jack's Tavern Rum Cake, with its moist, buttery texture and Jamaican rum character.

Put all of that together and you have the makings of some pretty wonderful coffee-and-dessert moments.

For me, coffee isn't just something you drink to wake up anymore.

Sometimes coffee is dessert, comfort, a holiday tradition, or the perfect excuse to sit down and enjoy a slice of cake.

And Aroma Ridge Coffee Roasters certainly gives us plenty of delicious reasons to sit back, pour a cup, and enjoy the moment.

Now that's a cup of coffee worth talking about! ☕❤️
