Ms. Mickey's Creole Seasonings Review

If you can't go South for some great Cajun or Creole food, bring the food to your kitchen. And today that's just what I did. I created a Southern Cajun and Creole smorgasbord for my family.

And I did it all using products I received from, Ms. Mickey's Creole Seasonings. Every flavor I needed for my dish, came from the bottle.

Kathleen Mickey, is the driving force behind these wonderful seasonings. Born and raised in New Orleans, she knows a thing or two about Cajun and Creole spices and flavors. Learning how to cook, from her mom and grandmother, who sadly was a victim of hurricane Katrina. All that she has been through has led her to crafting these delectable Creole seasonings and spices that bring a zest and ton of flavor to your dish's. All this has paid off, and we all get to benefit from these wonderful products.

So let me tell you about my fantastic day of cooking some down home Creole and Cajun dish's. Starting with a hearty Southern breakfast.

There's nothing like a good skillet breakfast, and that's just what I made. Eggs, potatoes, sausage, cheese and, Ms. Mickey's, roast me Cajun seasoning. The ingredients that gave me all the flavor for my breakfast dish was, Black Pepper, Garlic, Red and Green Bell Pepper, Onion, Paprika. A nice gluten free product that is made with kosher products, has nothing artificial as far as color or flavors. And the best part is this is a salt free seasoning blend. As are all the products, from Ms. Mickey's Creole Seasonings, they are very versatile. And this seasoning blend is no exception. You can pair it with veggies to a nice dip. But for my skillet breakfast, it was a perfect meld. The combo of peppers in the blend are so spot on, not to hot and very flavorful. You even get some color to your dish from the paprika. A great food flavor enhancing blend that is great for what ever diet you may have to follow.

After a good hearty breakfast, it was time for the main dish's, and let me tell you it was a feast fit for a king.

With Ms. Mickey's, Bae's Creole rib rub, I decided to add it to my homemade baked beans for flavor. It worked perfectly. It gave my homemade baked beans the perfect spice it needed, I had to add nothing for flavor. The Bae's Creole rib rub is made of, Sugar, Salt Paprika, Spices, Chili, Pepper, and Dehydrated Garlic. So you get a little sweet, from the sugar, and some heat from the chili pepper. As with all the products, this seasoning blend is also very versatile. You can create some mouth watering dish's for sure, from meats, to the unexpected dish. You create it, Ms. Mickey's Creole Seasonings flavor it.

On the grill went a nice veggie melody, and they were seasoned with, Ms. Mickey's Bayou Cajun Spice. You can't go wrong with this blend. The ingredients add a delectable flavor to your dish. Having been made with, Paprika, Spices, Salt, Onion, Garlic, and 2% Tricalcium Phosphate to prevent caking. You can add a dash or sprinkle before you cook, after you cook, or while you cook your dish. What you end up with is a intense Louisiana flavor to what ever you create. From pasta, to some veggies, to a nice seafood dish, this Bayou Cajun Spice, brings it.

Next on the grill was some salmon steaks, and for the flavor, I used the, Ms. Mickey's Peppers Blackening seafood seasoning. Not only did it blacken my salmon, but it brought a nice robust flavor profile. The ingredients are simple and natural for this blend. It contains, Paprika, Salt, Spices, Onion, and Garlic. Simple, but powerful in mouthwatering flavor. The salmon was perfectly blackened. This is so good, and will pair with many dish's, from seafood, to veggies, its all up to what you want to create.

Now you can't have a good Creole meal if you don't have some grits and shrimp. And when you can have a seasoning, from Ms. Mickey's, like her, Creole steak and burger seasoning your dish will be a hit. There is a ton of flavors going on here, and yes a burger and steak would be great, but it was a home run for my grits and shrimp. The ingredients are plenty, and include, Salt, Granulated Sugar, Onion, Smoke Flavor (torula yeast, autolyzed yeast extract, natural flavor, maltodextrin*, modified food starch, corn syrup solids, 1% tricalcium phosphate to prevent caking), Spices, Garlic, Natural Smoke Flavor (maltodextrin, natural hickory smoke flavoring, hydrated silicon dioxide [anticaking agent]), Natural Butter Flavor and Paprika. Contains: MILK. Gluten Free Products. That is a whole lot of flavor coming onto your food, and very delectable. Every bite is a taste that is full of a nice smoky, bold flavor, with perfect spice. It will transform any dish to a new level.

Of course, you also have to have a seafood boil, and for that I used Ms. Mickey's Creole crab and shrimp boil seasoning. It gave my boil the perfect taste and color. Beautiful ingredients such as, Celery Salt, Paprika, Colman’s Mustard, Black Pepper, Bay Leaf, Cloves, Ginger, Mace, Celery Seed, Cinnamon, and Cayenne Pepper. You get a nice heat, with the balance of the other seasoning, that bring you a appetizing dish. If your cooking any type of seafood this is a great seasoning blend, but try it on some steak as well as some ribs, for a very unique taste.

Also included for today's feast was a nice Southern style potato salad, and the only ingredient besides the mayo, was Ms. Mickey's, Creole mustard seasoning. It's so amazing the flavor that comes from the jar. With ingredients of, Spices, Dehydrated Brown Sugar, Salt, Maltodextrin, Modified Food Starch, Vinegar, Citric Acid, Corn Starch, Dehydrated Garlic, White Wine (contains sulfites), Tartaric Acid, and Natural Flavorings. This is a very popular seasoning in New Orleans, and after you use it in your dish, you will make it a permanent staple in your kitchen. You have a blend of Spanish, French, African and German flavors going on. Get creative and try it in a macaroni salad, or even for some grilled pork chops, the ideas are endless. It brings a nice sweet, and mustard taste to your dish, that is nectar to your lips.

For another dish, I made a small pot of some spicy sausage and cabbage soup, and the taste came from, Ms. Mickey's Extreme fiery blend seasoning. It's a heat that will bring you in for another bite for sure. The ingredients are, Spices (Red Pepper, Black Pepper), Paprika (Color), and Extractives of Capsicum. Great for soup, to pasta, for some lip smacking flavor. The combo of hot red peppers and black peppers are a perfect meld. It takes crushed red peppers to a whole new level. Try it on pizza to popcorn, and where ever you would use red pepper flakes. You will be surprised how amazing the flavor is.

The last dish was a nice rice and sausage dish, and for flavor I used, Ms. Mickey's, super Creole seasoning. The seasoning is a blend of, Monosodium Glutamate, Salt, Dehydrated Vegetables (Garlic, Red Bell Pepper, Onion), Spices, Sugar, Orange Peel, Extractives of Paprika (Color), Citric Acid, and No More Than 2% Silicon Dioxide Added to Prevent Caking. Not only does your dish get great flavor, it gets a nice color from the paprika. Every bite is a little sweet, with some nice Creole heat. This blend is, Ms. Mickey's number one best seller. Taste it once and you will agree! Your table should never be without it for sure. It's a home run seasoning blend, that will go great with any dish you cook.

No matter what seasoning blend you choose from, Ms. Mickey's Creole Seasoning, you will not be disappointed.

  1. Thank you for sharing further details on Seafood Seasoning. I use Seafood Seasoningon a regular basis, and I nearly always get it from a reliable company like Belay & Bell. Because they are a well-known online retailer of Seafood Seasoning and provide high-quality products at a cheaper cost than other merchants. Belay & Bell is a good place to go if you're looking for Seafood Seasoning.
