If you love biscuits you will love them even more with blueberries.
Ingredients:
• 2 cups
all-purpose flour
• 1
tablespoon baking powder
• 1/4 cup
granulated sugar
• 1/2
teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup
unsalted butter, cold and cubed
• 3/4 cup
whole milk
• 1 cup
fresh blueberries
• For the
glaze:
• 1/2 cup
powdered sugar
• 1
tablespoon lemon juice
Aim for
425°F (220°C) in the oven.
Mix the
flour, baking powder, sugar, & salt in a large basin.
Until the
mixture resembles coarse crumbs, cut in the butter.
Fold in the
blueberries after gently stirring in the milk until just incorporated.
Place the
dough onto a surface dusted with flour and gently knead it. Roll out to a
thickness of 1 inch, then use a biscuit cutter to cut.
After lining
a baking sheet, place the biscuits there and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or
until golden brown.
Whisk
powdered sugar and lemon juice together until smooth to make the glaze. Pour
over hot biscuits.
