A Simple and Delicious Rice Recipe
Rice is a staple food in many cultures, known for its versatility and ability to absorb a variety of flavors. Today, I’m going to share a simple yet delicious rice recipe that you can easily make at home.
Ingredients
1 cup of long-grain white rice
2 cups of water
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of butter or olive oil (optional)
Instructions
Rinse the rice: Place the rice in a large bowl and fill it with cold water. Swirl the rice in the water, pour off, and repeat 2 to 3 times or until the water is clear.
Cook the rice: In a medium saucepan, bring the water, the rinsed rice, salt, and butter or oil (if using) to a boil. Once the water is boiling, lower the heat to a simmer and cover the pan.
Let it simmer: Allow the rice to simmer for about 18 minutes. Then, turn off the heat and let the rice sit in the covered pot for another 5 minutes.
Fluff and serve: Uncover the rice, fluff with a fork, and serve!
