Byler's Relish House Product Review

When creating dish's you don't always have to turn to the spice jars in your cabinet for flavor. You can get flavors from homemade products.

Today from breakfast to dinner, I used fresh products from a jar, that are homemade from a family in PA. That family's company is called Byler's Relish House. They craft homemade products that are fresh, hand selected, and made in small batches to ensure freshness and quality. From relish to jams, they process it all, from their families own recipes. After you taste these products you will want more.

The products are not only fresh, even though they come out of a jar, the flavors are still well preserved. And what's even better, the ingredients are real! The ingredients are never frozen, or pre canned, they come straight from the growers fields to the process point, to your table. Every single ingredient used is hand picked and gone through carefully, to ensure there are no imperfections. Then processed using the small batch system, that locks in freshness and flavor. In business since 2001, by the taste of their delectable products, they will be in business for a long time.

My dish's today had very little, if any other flavorings added to them. The flavor profile and taste profile, mainly came from Byler's Relish House products. And it was a very tasty experience!

First, to start the day off, I made some baked eggs, with mozzarella cheese and half a jar of Byler's Relish House, shredded peppers. The peppers are sweet and really add flavor to a dish. The ingredients are simple and fresh, such as, sweet banana peppers, water, red bell peppers, canola oil, distilled vinegar, salt, sugar, garlic, spices. The peppers are very colorful, and although my cheese hid most of them, the flavor was not masked. I even used some of the brine liquid in my egg bake. It was a very delectable breakfast, to start our day with. The shredded peppers from Byler's, is very versatile, you can use them in many other dish's, from hot dogs, to Italian sausage sandwich's, even a salad or pasta dish.

For lunch it was a side of mac salad and a sandwich. The mac salad I made was using Byler's Relish House, sweet dill pickles, whole, and a tiny bit of the brine as well. The pickles are not only sweet, but have a nice crunch to them. The ingredients again, are real, and very fresh, such as, Cucumbers, sugar, water, distilled vinegar, salt, garlic, spices, calcium chloride. There is a big difference in these pickles compared to store brand. You can tell in every bite that they came from freshly picked cucumbers. The pickles are not overly sweet, and have a wonderful dill flavoring. Homemade taste for sure. Again the product is very versatile, use them from salads, to burger toppings, it's up to you to get creative.

To go with the salad for lunch, I made everyone, fried chicken sandwich's, and topped them all with Byler's Relish House, Hot Pepper Mustard. Now this was the only topping, no ketchup, or BBQ sauce, just the hot pepper mustard. It gave the fried chicken sandwich a nice tangy sweet flavor, with a kick at the end. The hot pepper mustard is made up of, hot peppers, sweet peppers, prepared mustard, distilled vinegar, #1 mustard seed, turmeric, sugar, water, distilled vinegar, salt, modified food starch. The marriage of all the ingredients leads to the juicy, yummy flavor that is a party on your taste buds. It just happens to be one of Byler's Relish House's, most popular sellers. It is a beautiful colored mustard, with chunky peppers throughout. The hot pepper mustard is as pleasing to the eye as it is to the palate. From sandwich toppings, to sauces, this is a wonderful choice for flavor.

Dinner cooking, had the entire house smelling amazing. But before I reveal the dish, let me tell you about the side.

For the Byler's Relish House, pickled garlic, I made a veggie salad. Taking the pickled garlic and dicing it, and using it through out the salad gave it a nice tangy, and sweet flavor profile. Not overly sour at all. Byler's took ingredients such as, Garlic, water, sugar, distilled vinegar, salt, spices, calcium chloride, and made a sophisticated pickled product. If you’re a garlic lover like my family is, this product from Byler's Relish House, is sure to please. It has the perfect combination of ingredients, that is sure to enhance any dish you use it with. With veggies, meats, or pasta, it will boost up the flavor profile, that is sure to be a hit.

The amazing smell, that I mentioned was some chicken quarters, cooking in sugar free strawberry jam, some balsamic vinegar, and fresh strawberries. For the jam, it came from Byler's Relish House, and is sugar free. The ingredients are, strawberries, rhubarb, white grape juice concentrate, water, fruit pectin, citric acid. You don't miss the sugar at all, the ingredients give you a all natural sweetness. The strawberry jam is fresh, and can be used straight from the jar, or in a BBQ sauce as I did. You can also add the jam into a shake or some morning granola for some a refreshing taste.

Ending the evening was just as mouth watering. I baked up some Apple Butter snicker doodles, using homemade apple butter from Byler's Relish House. The homemade apple butter is made with very fresh, natural ingredients like, apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, distilled vinegar, and spices. This is a very versatile product, that is very exquisite, to good to just slather on some toast and eat. It's a very elegant apple butter, that can be used in a BBQ sauce, or baked in cookies. The spices are just amazing, and the aroma just the same. It reminds you of being in the kitchen with Grandmom. It is a very delicate apple butter, with a nice little tartness to it, and then with the cinnamon to warm your soul.
