From Greensboro, NC, I got several bottles of a famous sauce. Boar and Castle sauce to be exact. The sauce bares its name from the famous restaurant, Boar
and Castle. The sauce was created for, their butter steak sandwich's, and also
to pour over burgers and fries, and onion rings, as well as chicken. The
restaurant may be gone, but the famous, Boar and Castle sauce lives on.
You can do so much with thissauce, from marinating to using it as a condiment. It is very versatile, and
mouth watering.
The Boar and Castle Sauce, is
know world wide, and has been since 1932, when Leon Thomas opened the castle
shaped restaurant. The name came from a pub, named in the Samuel Johnson novel.
The recipe for the sauce is over one hundred years old, and can be used on
anything and everything you eat!
Boar and Castle is more then
a sauce, for many it is a great memory. A sauce that has stood the test of
time, and has remained the same. Now I get to try it for my self, and enjoy
with my family, a great memory like so many others.
For my first bottle, I made
everyone, some yummy steak and onion steak sandwich's with, Boar and Castle
sauce. And at the first bite, I could taste what the rave was all about. It was
amazing. The sauce made with natural ingredients and spices, was the only
flavoring on my steak and onion sandwich's. It needed nothing else. Every bite
was mouth watering, and some of the family poured more on in each bite they
took. The Boar and Castle sauce, is a wonderful tomato mustard vinegar recipe,
that is delicious from the beginning to the end. You will see why when you
taste it for yourself, how this family owned recipe lasted over time. Made in
the US, in small batches to ensure quality and freshness. It
will give flavor to everything you eat!
Dinner, was the second time,
I used a bottle, and that was to sauce a nice pork roast with. Instead of
gravy, I used a six ounce bottle of the, Boar and Castle sauce, that is made
with real ingredients, and is handmade. Every bottle is made with: 'KETCHUP
[TOMATO CONCENTRATE (WATER, TOMATO PASTE) SUGAR, VINEGAR, SALT, ONION POWDER,
SPICE, NATURAL FLAVORING], MUSTARD (VINEGAR, WATER, MUSTARD SEED, SALT,
TURMERIC, PAPRIKA), WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE (DISTILLED WHITE VINEGAR, MOLASSES,
SUGAR, WATER, SALT, ONIONS, ANCHOVIES, GARLIC, CLOVES, TAMARIND EXTRACT, NATURAL
FLAVORING, CHILI PEPPER EXTRACT), APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, SUGAR, SALT, SPICES,
WATER. You, don't need to add any other seasoning, that’s for sure. If this
sauce is this good, I can only imagine how good the food was at the restaurant.
This ninety year old sauce, is a party in your mouth.
You have got to give this
sauce a taste. Visit, Boar and Castle online, Amazon, or Faire.
