Pine Barrens Native Fruits Product Review

If you did not know, cranberries and blueberries are a force of healthy goodness. They are not only good to taste, but will help you take care of your body.

Today's products came from, Pine Barrens Native Fruits, that harvest both these berries. Located in Browns Mills NJ, not farm from my own home town. When you purchase products from, Pine Barrens Native Fruits, you are supporting sustainable, native agriculture and helping to preserve, South Jersey Pine Barrens. This is where cranberry farming has been happening for over 150 years!

Pine Barrens Native Fruits, is a 5th generation farmer business, now run by Brenda Conner and Joe Darlington. With love and care not only for the land but for the quality of the cranberries, and blueberries, you can enjoy their products year round.

When you visit, Pine Barrens Native Fruits, you will also learn about Elizabeth C. White, and how she herself cultivated the first blueberry. Also take a tour of the historic, Whitesbog Farm Village, and taste some of their yummy products.

With the products I received today, I got to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with a tasty appetizer.

First up, I made some stuffed French toast, and for the filling used, Pine Barrens Native Fruits, Tru Blu Berry Jam, and cream cheese. It was amazing to taste. The jam is smooth and silky and spreads so easy. All the ingredients are all natural, and what you taste is one hundred percent blueberries. The jam is a wonderful dark blue color and has the most delicious flavor to it. A very versatile jam, that you can use not only for a filling, but as a glaze on some ribs, a spreading on a nice toasted bagel, and so much more. This jam is sure to please everyone, any time of the day!

Lunch was just as yummy, with turkey panini's, and a dollop of, Pine Barrens Native Fruits, mild cranberry salsa. Right through the jar you see all the semi chunky ingredients of, diced tomatoes, cranberries, green bell pepper, and jalapeno pepper that gives the salsa a nice kick. There is also a little recipe on the side of the jar, if you wish to try it. The cranberry salsa is fresh, and wakes your taste buds up, with its burst of flavor. It is another versatile product, great as a condiment, for dipping chips, or top your favorite sandwich with it. However you decide to use it, you will have a very fruit mouth watering dish.

For dinner I created two different appetizers, the first being a cream cheese dip using again some of the mild cranberry salsa. Pairing the two together was a perfect meld. On the side of the dip, I served a assortment of crackers, and also topped the dip, with fresh cranberries and a slice of jalapeno pepper. It was a hit, and everyone enjoyed it. The dip is creamy and spicy and sweet at the same time. Great to serve to guests, or family anytime of the year.

For the medium cranberry salsa, from Pine Barren Native Fruits, I piped some hummus on crackers and topped the hummus with the medium salsa. Not only did it look appealing, the taste was exquisite. Another tomato based salsa, with medium bits and pieces of all natural ingredients, that you can see right through the jar. Again you have some jalapeno pepper, but cayenne pepper as well. It has a nice heat to it, that is not overpowering. Then you get a nice tart taste from the fresh cranberries. In all the flavors of perfectly balanced. Another versatile product, to add as a ingredient to your recipes, or serve as a dip, or try over a meat, fish, or chicken dish. If you like a little spice, this Pine Barrens Native Fruit, cranberry salsa medium is for you.

The main dish of the evening was a nice pork tenderloin, that was stuffed with, Pine Barrens Native Fruits, cranberry walnut jam. Another exquisite pairing of ingredients. The jam is made with all natural ingredients, and has bits of walnuts through out. In each bite of pork, you got a nice crunchy tart taste, that was delicious. There is so much you can do with these products. Just thinking out the box, for some mouth watering recipes.
