Kakosi Organic Chocolates Review

Today was a special treat, and I mean literally. I got to make some delicious desserts for my family, using products sent over from, Kakosi Chocolate.

                                                                 ðŸ’—

Kakosi has a great story to tell on their website, but it all began and was founded by two brothers from, Venezuela. The company started out, to help family and friends who were growing and selling Cacao. Not only growing and selling Cacao, but helping to provide those with a better way of life, and a better working environment. Kakosi, has partnered with a philanthropic cacao importer and exporter from the farmers of Esmeralda's. Also they have partnered with, La Fundacion Los Pino.

If you have never had Cacao beans, you need to not only know about it, but try it. Cocoa beans are called cocoa beans, not cacao, due to a spelling mistake. But there is no mistake about the taste. Cocoa, or chocolate was used back in Mayan culture as a romantic gesture. Aztecs used cocoa to create hot chocolate, and they called it "xocolati", which means bitter water. There is a difference between cacao and cocoa, and that is because, of heat. Cocoa powder and cacao powder are very similar, the only difference being that cocoa is processed at a much higher temperature. Cacao has it's own distinct taste, and has wonderful nutritional benefits.

You can use cocoa and cacao in your recipes, and when its in it's best form you end up with dish's that taste heavenly.

Join me now on my chocolaty day!

For me and my girls, it was a fun day of baking some delicious, mouth watering desserts.

First we made a loaf pan of, banana bread, with dark chocolate covered cacao nibs. What these nibs are, are chocolate covered nibs, that are small pieces of cacao beans. Each bite gives you a bitter, chocolaty flavor. The dark chocolate covered nibs are not quite as sweet as chocolate, but when used dish's with some form sweetness you end up with a luscious dish. The dark chocolate covered nibs from, Kakosi, still gave my bread a nice chocolate taste, that was nice and subtle.

Next the girls and I, made a small batch of brownie balls, and used the, Kakosi cacao nibs for them. These nibs are organic and are a super food gift that comes from mother nature. They are packed with antioxidants, magnesium and iron. So you get a nice guilt free dessert. The organic cacao nibs from Kakosi, were crushed and winnowed. Making them very easy to use for my recipe. There is a process for nibs that are crushed and winnowed, and that is separating the husk from the cocoa bean. A lot of hard work goes into these tiny treasures.

Using, cacao powder that Kakosi sent, we made a small batch of brownies with nuts. Talk about a delicious treat. This cacao powder is used as a thickening ingredient in your recipes and in chocolate making. You can also use it for yummy hot or cold drinks. Kakosi, organic cacao powder, is allergen and gluten free, and in the highest quality for powder. Also the organic cacao powder is loaded with antioxidants, fiber and minerals. Great for baking and for smoothies. Kakosi, makes this organic cacao powder in a non alkalized milled low temp. You can mix it into ricotta cheese, or make a hot chocolate with it, it is a stellar versatile product.

Next up we made a small loaf pan of a chocolate mousse cake. This was from two bags of, Kakosi two minute mousse. A product that is the finest of organic cacao, that is easy to make. All you need is to mix the bag into whipping cream and whip up with your electric mixture. That's it! and the end result is a perfect chocolate mousse, with a stunning texture and taste on your palate. The mousse was used on top of a nice chocolate cake, and it was so light and airy. Then I curled some chocolate on that. It was just so pretty to look at with a very sophisticated taste.

Moving on, the girls made some wafer cookies, using Kakosi chocolate wafers. These are not your usual wafer melts, these are the real deal. Organic unsweetened chocolate wafers, that are one hundred percent cacao liquor. They are gluten free and allergen free, and makes your chocolate recipes soar in flavor. Loaded also with a ton of antioxidants and fiber, and minerals, that do a body good. They not only taste good out of the bag, but are excellent for baking and using for delicious chocolate recipes. The best part is the size, they are just perfect!

Cookies were also made, using Kakosi, dark chocolate coated nibbles, and the organic cocoa butter. A nice creamy cocoa that has a nice scent to it of chocolate. Use it for a emollient and lotion for skin. It Can also be used for baking! Not only do these dark chocolate covered cacao nibbles come in a bag, but a cute little container as well. They are gently crushed cacao beans that are then covered in exquisite dark chocolate, that just melts in your mouth. They are cleaned and roasted in a low temp, and just leave a culinary taste on your palate. The taste will surely satisfy your craving for any thing chocolate. And will also help give you a little energy, and improve that bad mood to a good one.

To end with our cooking, we used, Kakosi, Mayan blend, organic cocoa mix and made a nice hot chocolate and orange drink. Organic sugar is used in this mix and that is less then in most hot chocolate mix's. The blend also includes bits of cacao liquor for a unique flavor. The drink is rich, buttery, and chocolaty. I squeezed a orange slice of juice into it as well and also as a garnish. Now I had the most delicious fruity chocolaty drink. If you love a rich and creamy drink, you will love this Mayan blend.

Also all of us girls got to try the small package sent over of organic shea butter. It is from, Kakosi as well, and is one hundred percent organic. It is a excellent product for those with dry skin. It is even great on stretch marks. When you smooth it on, it melts and revitalizes your skin and leaves it soft and refreshed. You can also use this shea butter in baking recipes, who knew!

You can get these wonderful organic products online, or on Amazon. You will never think of chocolate in the same way again!
