There are many recipes for
this, but this is the one I cook.
Ingredients
2 lbs - Lean Ground Beef
1 lb - Elbow Macaroni
2 Large - Yellow Onions
(chopped)
1 Large - Bell Pepper
(chopped)
4 - Garlic Cloves (chopped)
6 cups - Water
2 - 15 oz Cans Diced Tomatoes
2 - 15 oz Cans Tomato Sauce
4 TBS - Soy Sauce
2 TBS - Italian Seasoning
3 Bay Leaves
Salt and Pepper to taste
Brown ground beef in a large
pan over medium-high heat and drain excess grease. Saute' the onions, bell
pepper, and garlic for 2-3 minutes. Combine the tomatoes, tomato sauce, water,
soy sauce, Italian seasoning, and bay leaves in.
Bring to a boil, then lower
to a low heat, cover, and cook for 30 minutes. Stir in the elbow macaroni,
cover, and simmer for another 25 minutes, or until the pasta is tender and the
liquid has been absorbed.
