Minute Honey Garlic Shrimp. A fun and easy to put together a meal, that
everyone will savor.
Ingredients:
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon minced
fresh ginger.
1 lb medium uncooked shrimp, peeled & deveined
2 teaspoons olive oil
optional: chopped green onion for garnish.
Combine the honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger in a mixing
bowl.
Put the shrimp in a big zip-top bag or Tupperware container.
Pour half of the marinade mixture over the shrimp, shake or toss, and place in
the refrigerator for 15 minutes or up to 8-12 hours. Cover and chill the
remaining marinade for a step. In a pan over medium-high heat, heat the olive
oil. Add the shrimp to the skillet. Sauté the shrimp on one side until pink,
about 45 seconds, then flip. Pour in the remaining marinade and simmer for 1
minute more, or until the shrimp are cooked through.
End up serving shrimp with cooked marinade sauce and green
onion garnish. The sauce goes well with brown rice and cooked vegetables on the
side.
