I've never had a sweet and spicy flavor combination like this before.
1/4 cup real maple syrup or honey
1/4 cup raspberry jalapeƱo sauce or chili sauce
2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
10 chicken wings, uncut
Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a small mixing bowl, combine
all ingredients except the chicken; set aside.
Cut each wing at the joint on a poultry cutting board. Wing
tips and excess skin should be removed and discarded.
Place the wings on a 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan. Pour
mixture over wings, turn over, and coat evenly with a brush.
After 30 minutes, turn the wings over and brush with sauce.
Bake for 15 to 25 minutes more, or until the juice of the chicken is clear when
its thickest region is cut to the bone. Serve the chicken with the sauce.
