Ketchup, a staple in many households, is not just for
burgers and fries. It can be a key ingredient in a delicious marinade that adds
a tangy and sweet flavor to your dishes. Here’s a simple recipe on how to use
ketchup in a marinade.
Ingredients
1 cup of ketchup
1/4 cup of soy sauce
1/4 cup of honey
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon of vinegar
1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Combine all ingredients: In a bowl, combine the ketchup,
soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and
pepper. Stir until all the ingredients are well mixed.
Marinate your choice of meat: Pour the marinade over your
choice of meat. Make sure all sides of the meat are covered in the marinade.
Refrigerate: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and
refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
Cook: Remove the meat from the marinade and cook as
desired. Remember to discard any leftover marinade that has come into contact
with raw meat.
This marinade works great with chicken, pork, or beef.
The ketchup adds a tangy sweetness that complements the savory flavors of the
soy sauce and garlic. The honey and vinegar give the marinade a bit of a kick,
making your dish flavorful and delicious.
