Olive Basket olive oil & vinegar store Review

From breakfast to dessert today, I made some really delectable dish's. The flavor to all the recipes came from some great olive oils and balsamic vinegar's.

The company that sent the products over is called, The Olive Basket, from Athens GA.

The Olive Basket is a specialty grocery store that imports locally sourced goods. You will find premium olive oils, balsamic vinegars, and other products to help you make just the most perfect dish. You can get combinations of olive oil and vinegars, that make a great gift. Even olive oil skincare is available.

The box I received from, The Olive Basket, was perfect and ready to pass on as a gift. Inside was some specialty balsamic vinegars, and some infused olive oils.

Now it's time for me to share my day with you, using products from, The Olive Basket.

Olive oil is not only healthy to cook with, when infused makes a wonderful added ingredient for flavor. My breakfast was a tasty and fun breakfast pizza with sunny side up eggs and drizzled with, The Olive Basket, infused olive oil "garlic". This infused olive oil added a depth of flavor that just perfected the breakfast pizza. It is made with infused fresh garlic that is very versatile as a olive oil. Great for any style of cooking, from Italian to Mediterranean. You can make pasta to a wonderful drizzle on any type of dish. The Olive Basket, infused garlic is made with extra virgin olive oil, that is very fresh and pungent. The Olive Basket, infused olive oil is one hundred percent natural as well.

Lunch was just as extraordinary, using The Olive Basket, A-Premium balsamic vinegar. For my dish I made a nice balsamic chicken pasta with fresh tomatoes and basil. This balsamic is dark, and is full of flavor. It is made with white trebbiano grape must, which makes it so premium. This A-premium balsamic, The Solera technique of cooking and barrel-aging is used, and the wine is caramelized in copper kettles over an open wood fire. The grapes are then matured in a variety of oak barrels that have been charred on the inside to give character and color during the aging process. The end product is a rich, yet sharp vinegar with a hint of sweetness, delicate dried fruit flavors, and low acidity. This vinegar is highly flexible and will appeal to those of us who prefer tart vinegars.

The starter for dinner, was a nice Autumn salad with The Olive Basket, cranberry pear white balsamic vinegar as the dressing. This blush colored balsamic is so full of luscious flavor. It is clean and crisp on your palate, with a slight tartness. It to is a very versatile balsamic to be used from a salad dressing to a glaze for poultry or even fish. It can also be used in desserts. It is naturally flavored and aged in wooden barrels, using again the traditional Solera method.

The nights main course was some seared sea scallops in, The Olive Basket, Tuscan Herb infused olive oil. It was sophisticated from the first to the last bite. The infusion includes a blend of herbs and sun dried tomatoes and a nice fresh garlic infusion. From a salad to a marinade, this is a wonderful olive oil choice. Add some red pepper flakes, for a nice dip. It to is a very versatile infused olive oil, that adds, succulent flavors to any dish you include it in. For my dish it was the main flavoring, nothing else was added except some basil garnish.

Olive oil also makes a great addition to baking. And for dessert one that I made was a yummy blood orange upside down cake, infused with, The Olive Basket, blood orange olive oil. I was left with the double flavor of blood orange. And the olive oil made the upside down cake very moist. The blood orange olive oil is also infused with some Tunisian olives that are ripe. Together they are pressed to give you a fresh, fruity flavored olive oil. A very versatile olive oil that can be used for added flavor in baking, or as a drizzle over some ice cream with fruit. Once you taste it, you will fall in love!

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray and line the bottom of a 9-inch round loose-bottomed cake pan with cooking spray.

To produce a thick paste, combine the brown sugar and water in a small dish. Set aside. Distribute this thinly and evenly over the bottom of the cake pan. 1 orange, zested, in a large mixing bowl with the superfine sugar With your hands, rub the zest into the sugar until it is equally distributed. Place aside. Segment both oranges as thinly as possible while keeping the peel on, and lay them on top of the brown sugar base in the cake pan. Incorporate the eggs and, The Olive Basket blood orange olive oil. Mix in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined. Pour the batter over the orange slices gently, being careful not to disturb the oranges below. Cook for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the sponge is firm and golden brown to the feel. Allow the cake to cool to room temperature in its pan before attempting to turn it upside down. Garnish with crème fraiche.

The last dessert was using up some peaches that I had. Roasted and then drizzled with, The Olive Basket, dark chocolate balsamic vinegar. Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! I can't say enough about this dark balsamic vinegar with the taste of fine chocolate. It makes a great compliment to anything you use it with. Very versatile, from a fruit drizzle to a BBQ sauce recipe. This is a very unique balsamic, that can be paired with so many recipes.
