Crispy, fatty, and bursting
with flavor, these delectable strips are ideal as an appetizer or for breakfast
in place of bacon.
INGREDIENTS
12 thick pork belly strips
1 teaspoon Diamond Crystal
kosher salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Bake at 400 degrees
Fahrenheit. Using parchment paper, line a large, rimmed baking sheet.
Arrange the pork belly pieces
in a single layer in the pan. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Roasting for 30 minutes on the first side and
another 20-30 minutes on the second side, or until brown and crispy. Halfway
through baking, empty the pan and save the released fat in a container if
desired.
