When
people want to eat healthily, they turn to roasted chicken breast, and there's
nothing terrible with it. But the issue is that many people scorch and
under season chicken breasts, which makes then quite upset. This is
how to cook excellent chicken every time, along with how long to cook it for.
Your
ideal temperature is 400°. Any less and you chance roasting the chicken for an
inordinate amount of time, resulting in tough flesh.
Season to
taste, but a decent rule of thumb is 3/4 teaspoon salt for 1 pound of chicken. Smothering
the chicken in the sauce is a terrific method to add more flavor. Consider salsa
verde, barbeque sauce, and ranch dressing.

INGREDIENTS
1 tbsp.
brown sugar
1 tsp.
garlic powder
1 tsp.
paprika
1 tsp.
kosher salt
1 tsp.
Freshly ground black pepper
Extra-virgin
olive oil, for drizzling
4
boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 lemon,
cut into thin slices
Freshly
chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions
Heat the
oven to 375°F. Brown sugar, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a
shallow dish Stream oil over the chicken and liberally cover with the spice
mixture, brushing off any excess. Arrange the chicken on top of the lemon
slices in the baking dish.
Cook for
25 minutes, just until the chicken is cooked through.
Cover
loosely with aluminum and let rest for at least 5 minutes. If using, garnish
with parsley.
