Quick and Juicy Instant Pot Chicken Wings
Craving chicken wings but short on time? The Instant Pot is
your secret weapon for tender, juicy wings that are ready in a flash. Whether
it’s game day or just a regular Tuesday, this recipe will have you savoring
every bite.
Ingredients:
2 lbs chicken wings (drumettes and flats)
1 ½ tsp kosher salt
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp black pepper
¾ cup water
½ cup BBQ sauce or Buffalo sauce
Optional: Ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping
Instructions:
Season the Wings: In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings
with salt, garlic powder, and black pepper until evenly coated.
Prepare the Instant Pot: Pour ¾ cup of water into the
Instant Pot and place a trivet or steamer basket inside. Arrange the wings on
the trivet.
Pressure Cook: Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to
high pressure for 5 minutes. Once the cooking time is up, allow a natural
pressure release for 10 minutes, then carefully release any remaining pressure.
Crisp the Wings: Preheat your oven broiler or air fryer to
400°F. Remove the wings from the Instant Pot and pat them dry with paper
towels. Toss them in your choice of sauce, then spread them on a baking sheet
or place them in the air fryer. Broil or air fry for 5-10 minutes, flipping
halfway through, until the skin is crispy.
Serve and Enjoy: Plate the wings with your favorite dipping
sauce and enjoy the perfect balance of tender meat and crispy skin.
